no BASE is about 10 mins down the road from rodbaston and also there is countryside training and tree management is also in that area, who i have done some of my training with, also they were great very relaxed. we are just spoilt for good trainers round here

from my point of view (conservation back ground) fell the lot! they support little wildlife, creat a dense canopy and nothing grows beneth them, causing problems with them in hedge rows and leaving ground prone to erosion, but for every one I fell an ash or oak is replanted in place of the sycamore.

about 3quid i think i paid, it does stop the handle ripping back through your fingers when the saw fires! you dont have to use a stihl one, but it does mean i could list the part number its a shame they dont make an elasto-start D handle as it would be silky smooth starting the biggers saws

The trimble ag gps systems i have been involved in leave a lot to be desired! especially aerial systems, light bar is essential for the pilot, but its just the ability for them to see visually where they are heading to next, as some of the work is only single swath pass (hence why with a map they can see where they need to fly and the isobus should just flick the sprayer on and off) i had been looking at a system with omnistar and a 10hz receiver, but the kit is so different when you have aerial applications! onmistar have a system on a chopper in germany that flys along the gas pipelines, and has a sensor mounted to the underside that the gps controls so the sensor is always pointing at the pipeline monitoring if there is any leaks, so if the helicopter tilts to turn the sensor will move so its still aligned with the pipeline, proper impressive kit, if you have about £120k for the sensor and gps kit alone!

1st get stihl part no: 1128-195-3401 ordered by your dealer, its the rescue saw (ms460R) D handle, makes starting loads easier! no more shreaded fingers 2nd were the saws richened up for milling, i richen the mix up on my saws when milling especially if your using aspen, i generally make the mix marginally more oily when milling and is the only time i dont use aspen! i richen my 084 up to 10,000rpm WOT for milling rather than the 11,500 that it should be at to ensure the piston is receiving enough lubrication. Remember you can never have to much lubrication

there is a lot of species on the new list, but other than things like knotweed, himalyan balsam etc the majority are pond species/aquatic

i do quite a lot of stuff that has dropped into the river as part of my work one thing i have always be dubious about, is it ok to run the guide bar in the water i know its not ideal and its not like i use a good saw for doing this, i use bio oil as well before i get shouted at but there are some situations where you have no choice but to do this? i always try and oil the bar and chain after use but is there anything else i should be worried about?

I have done a lot of terrain modeling, for various projects, as well as using infra-red imagery for doing land cover classification. I find in really interesting stuff (and pays v. well) but was getting to a point where it was all i was doing in my job (and as an eployee i was getting very little pay for it) so now i do freelance stuff where i can. what softwear were you using for parallel swath work something like the patchwork system? im intregued by the logisitics work in remote places? what kind of work was this? i was involved in helping map points for helicopters to drop restoration materials in the peak district. I have also been working on a system (just needed the budget) for high accuracy and speed GPS linked into a field GIS system running helicopter mounted spreader and sprayers through the new ISObus terminal that tractor manufatures are starting to use. This is mainly as if a pilot is not concentrating on the map and is 2seconds late turning of the sprayer, and hes hydroseeding smoked heather (at £200/kg) then it doesnt take long to have wasted a lot of money!

bad weather hasnt got to our part of staffs yet, blue sky with the occasional light rain. Im trying to get all my office/desk work done today so im free for the rest of the week incase we do these winds. its to do with weather its rev limited or not although anything from late 04 onwards is fitted with a rev limited coil

i would like and apline tractor and forwarder, but its a lot of money to splash out, but the impliments are a lot cheaper/more obtainable it just depends what your work is, i have specific sites that a quad is a lot more advantageous than an apline tractor on, due to the lighter weight, i think its horses for courses with this one, and neither one is 100% the answer to everything.

thats interesting as i know our implements are only insured when they are attached to one of the insured tractors, who is your insurance with?

Nope not yet as its only had three tanks of fuel through it, but it will be gone when i feel its broken in. I will search for the thread on treehouse, i will post some pics when i have done the muffler mods

im guessing you use something like a dremmel for polishing? they are handy bits of kit i dont really want to do anything to my 020t at the moment but the 192T might be a potential project, my main focus will be my 372xp
