Thats why i am thinking smart car £250 insurance + £30 road tax...... We do lots of surveys allover the UK so rack up the miles - currently spending £750 a month on fuel:scared:

If you have been on the http://www.batsandtrees.com site recently you will see it has been changed to an information site...... I am looking for your input to see what you as arborists want on the site. We are adding sections on bat friendly companies etc which you can be listed on - if you show interest to be listed you will be emailed a sheet with some short ?'s to answer... I have defenders - all are used off road and for work.... I have spent some time going over my books and what i have spent on fuel over the last year could by you a naice car.. I am going to get a smart car for doing surveys and quote's. I dont even look at prices when i fill up its too scary,. I even use bio fuel in the older land rovers. What else can you do. :thumbsdown:

I Heard the other week of a spate of defenders being nicked. I Have spent my hard earned cash today and had trackers fitted to my land rover's.......... I love my landys and wouldnt want them to vanish without a trace.:wave:

i have a blackberry and use a otterbox to keep it in... pnones usually only last me a moth or so, i have had this one for 9 months and its like new... the blackberry system is great and web browsing is good....

I have seen one in use today - it looked quite good, i would say it is not a scratch on the ms200t for ruggedness but could be a usefull addition to the collection:icon14:

I have just sold a recon 300tdi and a 98,000 mile take out - both nice, let me know when you are thinking of shifting it.. You have to treat your defender well, i also spend a fortune on ours, if i get a niggle of anything it gets replaced before it goes wrong..

The funny thing is we had a bench in the field that we put to the side which someone stole last week, it had dry rot so hopefully they have put it on their nice new decking, thinking about i havent been around that side of the field for a couple of weeks so probably both stole at the same time!!!!

I got home today and went to turn around at side of field up a small track.... I noticed someone had cut all the barb wire and stole 5 agri type fence posts and left the barb everywhere..... I am not that angry just scratching my head that someone has gone to that length for 5 semi rotten posts...... Is it just me or is britain filling up with complete nutters.

It really just shows how crap schools are - by the age of 6 i was taught why trees are so important...... His teachers should be sacked.:wave:
