  9. One of my workmates reminded me on Friday of having a 066 chain snap while snedding a little while back, it actually cought me on the chin, left a inch long nick which looked more like a bramble scratch. Quite dissapointing on the whole ;(
  10. I used to climb in the Austria 1 and sure the leg loops were step through? Very annoying it was!
  11. Been thinking of putting a carving bar on my 200t for a while but just picked up a husky 136 from freecycle (what a winner! ) does anyone know if this would be a good carving saw and if so where i can get a 1/4 inch sprocket?

  17. Today I took before and after shots for the first time,must get into the habit. It's not perfect but it's a bit of a beast! Has to be 2-2.5m DBH

Although you forgot to mention how good I look in a harness also you may have trumped me on the technical rigging these days. can't wait to be doing my own jobs (or yours, hehe) and being able to try some experi'mental rigging once again (with some new shiny kit of course!) high scale, thanks bud I've got me fingers crossed for sure!
  19. I had one snap while topping a lemonwood hedge, saw at face level, chain flew off the tip never to be seen again, had a thought for a second that it could have hit me in the face, then remembered i don't have really long bendy arms
  20. yeah fair one but I do wish to continue enjoying arb so not sure i wanna go there, repollarding i could just about deal with.....

  23. Hi damian, I've just gone subbie and remembered your thread from the start of the summer so although I'm guessing you've got this summer covered if you are in need of a climber I'm available as of the 23rd of this month. cheers, martin

  24. Handed my notice in to the 'man' today so I'm free from the 26th july, wooohooo! Been climbing five years, 3 as lead climber on a large council contract and had my fill of street trees.
