  2. its walking distance from the train station, the park is nearly in the center of town. there is no camping in any parks in sweden, but there is a campsite a few clicks away, by the sea, near where the bridge come across!
  3. quite simple, i agree. i dont want to hi-jack this thread, but lets not forget that NPTC is a BACIS leavel of competence. it is the level of skill needed to pass test, and not all the skills needed to have a career in this industry. i still consider that i'm still learning and hope to do so for many years to come, but what i want to learn its not been taught NPTC, that does not make it wrong or unsafe. just my ten pence worth craig
  4. just add tree boats, a bottle of something strong, game plan!
  5. great places with great trees but permission to climb them! what about a night climb?
  6. if your looking at the end of feb i should be able to sort some trees/space out at Harewood house, there's some nice trees in the show field, out of the public area/gaze with some wellies that have never been climbed to my knowlage(not vast i know)
  7. life must be too good, i put 5 raps on to hold my not very small frame and you now need six! i did try with a small prussic on the micro pulley, but found that with the short length of the leg it meant that there was little adjustment. i have found a very adjustable bridge more use in recent months for switching between styles.
  8. i agree with all that Laz say's on this point so far:wink:
  9. dont be cheeky boy. if you want to keep up try reading the 'tree climbers knotbook' by dirk lingens its a few years old now but i'm sure that it will be all new to you:001_cool: the 8mm cord show in your first picture is not the best choice for this knot.

  17. its an old style buckingham, they used to be sold by sherrill, but they stopped a couple of years ago (2007) if you have one of their old catalogs you might find some info
  18. A few guys(and me) did this at a comp a few years back, besides throwing up, blood shot eyes, i ended up in hosptial with a brain hemorage:scared1: for a few weeks. i dont think that we realise how fragile our bodies are some times.

  20. not in anger, i find that both the high tec harness have too low a balance point for me, more so on the hopper, may be better for a girl as there point of balance is lower, but what do i know
