    Jokes???

As bad as Bear Scotland strimming the verge in the snow!
  3. QTS report the theft of a SafeTrac from site in the Melton Mowbray area on Wednesday evening. Serial Number 150214 was fitted with winch, light tower and tool boxes. Please keep your eyes open site as well as a watching brief on sales portals!

  4. 78,000 Non Doms......I wonder how many are supporters/sponsors of other parties, but then again, that isn't newsworthy as knocking someone who, in their mind, is trying hard in their job to do well for the country.
  5. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-61016565 Sam was may sons best mate at primary school and they remained friends even when different classes, colleges and jobs came along. Sam had took the wrong path in life and was mixing with scum like these and seemingly, had cross a line with them. Image the fear, the dread being set upon 4 main attackers with several others in the background, and being stabbed several times with a Rambo knife....left in a bloody heap in a public space. RIP Sam. I hope these pond life have a tough life in jail and I wouldn't enjoy the fact that my taxes will go to their cost for the rest of their worthless, miserable lives!
  6. I doubt that the 50 is likely to dip tanks etc on private property with no road usage etc......
  7. I've had good and bad sauerkraut and give it a go! But in the mean, pickled in malt vinegar. Might even do a cauliflower and other stuff in a similar vein!
  8. https://www.trees.org.uk/News-Blog/Latest-News/Changes-to-red-diesel-usage,-April-2022 At a trade show last year, we were contacted by the exhibiting dealer, they had a visit from the DVSA who wanted to see all the compliancy paperwork for the engines we use.
  9. Fancy doing some myself as the last couple of supermarket jars were a tad mushy. Anyone big into pickling and got some wicked tips?
  10. From reading the AA guidance, do you have to run on white? They liken Arboriculture to Horticulture in practice and that is unaffected by the change.
  11. To be honest, TS or branded as QuikChip, in the 80's and 90's were those "go too" brands. Sold then by Fletcher Stewart and now by PSD at Colne. Stewart Mercer of PSD did tell me that what with TW, GreenMech and those others, TS was lost in the rush, but they would still sell spares etc. The pto turntable things were good when mated to the right tractor. Solid and well built....
  12. Soft ground helps too. My old Freelander was constant 4x4 and that would skip on hard lock on tarmac!
  13. That Cummings is an untrustworthy little worm who is so bitter and twisted about his circumstances that the poisonous turd doesn't see what a twat he appears to be!
  14. I'd agree with this sentiment. Not only in regards to overloaded small trucks but it can give you a better sense of road awareness, another opportunity to earn a crust and realistically, is a cheap qualification!
  15. And not available for a year due to semiconductor supply!
  16. I got a 3.2 Ranger with about 160k on the clock and towing is part of a chipper Rep's job. Wouldn't have a manual again, even in a sports car!
  17. I've been dismayed at how much of a donation goes to just about any charity, that is why I only give to a very select few charities! That, and I think so many of them milk the system and rely on the good nature of those volunteers who give their time freely! Folk on the ground floor are generally seriously under cared for while those auditors and senior managers don't do enough yet get well remunerated!
  18. Another top tip on older chippers, check the hydraulic pressure, and check the blow off value. Astounding how much pleasure a correct blow off is!
  19. Yes, the winch tray is available as a spare part. However, a factory fitted unit has a sensor in each leg, one leg has to be fully retracted to switch on the winch circuit for strength and stability. Home fitted units rely on the operator to ensure that this is done!
  20. I'm lead to believe that hydraulic are impressively more expensive than electric! We have fitted both in the past and both have their pros and cons tbh. One of the best tips I could give is to invest in a fibre rope instead of steel. I think we use Dyneema?
  21. I had a recent occurance involving a travelling lady taking her newly acquired (via Spock app) chipper and berated husband to a Police station as she had paid another traveller for a stolen chipper! She was livid, the husband henpecked and the Police confused yet surprised! I feel that a number are exported while a fair number remain within the trade. We tried a setting that was basically a keypad lock, but no one wanted to pay for it. We offered all kinds of trackers but they do have their limitations at times and folk got put off by the cost and believe they will be okay too! Nowt will stop crime, and the buyers of said kit are worse than the thieving scum in the first place!
  22. Good luck going forwards with the property, sounds like once done, idyllic!
  23. Ask the question at Glen Farrow, if their kit ain't working proper, they'll have a clue!
  24. I came across a short butt length trailer with crane some years ago, with the facility to move axle back and forth to maintain nose weight etc. But, it carried next to nowt realistically. Go HGV and get calm shell grab on 8 wheeler...
  25. There a Tech Help section which goes directly to Timberwolf. They should be able to answer directly.
