  1. Looks a proper tool, how many hours has it done? What will you do with it once the job is done?
  2. Hard luck mate, looks a sweet ride tho!

    PPC in the Park

I let Tom loose with the digi SLR, explained a few settings and 450 exposures later, he tells me the battery is dead! Took forever to download, delete, edit and put on a disc for him.

    It's a girl

Get on Justin, congrats to you and her indoors! Have you found out what caused it yet?
  5. You could run a GreenMech Eco TMP which is a 6" machine, bolt it to a frame mounted on your Landrover and fit a pump drive and resevoir and your away. The chipper would be fed from the pavement and the weight would be close to, so it would be a good one. Is yours an AgriRover?

Twas rather, Tom and I enjoyed a drift in a kit car amongst other things.
  7. What she after for it? At the right price I might be tempted, but, the caveat is, they are a bugger for bits and repairs! Has to be a carry away job to clear the space really.
  8. "Back off a bit Driver, I need to see if you've got it all"!
  9. I always find it sad that these instances occur, no matter what the circumstances. People will always take a risk doing something that they have not had any training or proper preparation and is it the landowners fault? Did they say that they could do it? What training and equipment did they have? Why does "fault" always have to come into the argument - has anyone ever had an "accident". My thoughts to those left behind.
  10. Oh Steve! My lad won the toy chainsaw on ticket 08257. He has asked to donate it back to the either the raffle or to the trust as he has an 088 and an 090 in the garage to practice with! Best regards. PeteB
  11. No probs. As with all these scenarios, there is always a degree of chinese whispers involved. But it don't look good for them at the mo.
  12. I wish I had done a vid of it with some horse chestnut at Stockport, it was bloody awesome! I'll see what I can do................
  13. I'd look at the GreenMech QuadChip:sneaky2:
  14. Great idea Steve, I'll bung in a tenner if the thong gets suitably modelled:sneaky2:
  15. That's the info that we had - certainly the german administrators asked if GreenMech wanted to get involved but german employment law is very strict which is putting bidders off. I too, got my info from a german source, as well as an English source. Both of which have impeccable reputations and have first hand experience. If I remember correctly, someone emailed me a copy of the administration paperwork.
  16. I'm off to the PPC in the Park event at Mallory Park this coming weekend. An event just for petrol heads. Look at their spoof M&S advert on YouTube with the V12, 27Litre Rover SD1, that's a hoot.
  17. There is a certain amount of uncertainty within Schiesling (the manufacturer). They went into administration some time ago having sold something like 150 woodchippers worldwide 08-09. Someone recently stepped in with a bid but I had heard that they ran away when they found out that they had to guarantee the labour force (60) would keep their jobs on the continuing volume of sales. Other than that, I've not seen many (if any) new machines about but they are still being advertised in the press but the price would put most people off instantly!

    capel manor.

Great to see a those who came to the GreenMech/Browns CGM stand and discuss the merits of the micro chipper............. Andy, as discussed, here is the photo of you sitting down - away from the beer tent. Follwed by another couple of roques. Then me and Tom, who said that he enjoyed the show and can he come to more. I want to go and get bladdered not stay sober and look after kids!
  19. Weld her back together and try to move the axle mounting plates further back or mount the spare wheel on the front.
  20. I had the 45.10 version back in the mid 90's. We were quoted circa 28k for the chassis cab and we got a new one from Dartford Trucks that had been sat in their yard for two years, that cost about 18K with a custom built body from Eddy George at Long Whatton which was a snip at 2.5k. Did the job okay. Not brilliant on road and okay orf road. Ate front tyres and drank fuel tho. After I finished it went to George Walkers at Leicester. They sold it after sterling service and it was stolen of the next owner. Sorry the pictures aren't great but they are digi photos of originals.
  21. Better as a shredder than a chipper. Marketed in England by Eric Hunter Ltd at Maidenhead, contact Jean Sebastion Vecten on 07825 012 261 with the serial number and he would be able to tell you its known history and spec. The nearest dealer to Cov could be RTm in Bucks or OPT in Derby, don't know the others.
  22. Belated Congrats! Being a Dad can be great fun but trying at times. Take care of your kid and the Mum.
  23. That happened possibly a month ago. Fletcher Stewart had been the agents for 25 years - I remember Tom Nixon trying to sell me one back in 1988, it was too dear for my pocket then. It would have been good of Salaen to do something in the press thanking F/S for all their hard work but "there's no budget for it". The factory in Riga that TS (Tunnisen) own has spare capacity so could end up making the Salaen range there. Sales in this country will be done by Jean Sebastion Vecten for Eric Hunter based in Maidenhead. Incidently, Eric Hunter is also owned by Salaen and Salaen are apparantly the biggest manufacturer in France making some 600 machines of various sizes each year. I've been told that Fletchers can still be contacted for spares and technical aqdvice for those who own a TS/QuickChip.
  24. A blade crack could be you, not the supplier don't forget.
  25. Welcome back Ben, I was looking throu some old threads and wondered if they had tinernet in Oz? Who are you with now then?
