    Jokes???

A mate married the daughter of a chap who ran a vineyard in France. Epic period and developed a love of Muscadet in me! He sent some stuff off to be brewed in Champagne but the controlling body would not allow him to sell it as fizzy muscadet. It became a limited run for family use only. His farm had been an Abbey and the Sisters started the vineyard so his family fizzy was labelled as "Nun's Fart". The Appelation Controlee could not disapprove of the label, only refuse the license to market or sell!
  2. I do wonder how much revenue they take off folk like me which they will loose as we just decide that we won't have the private mileage element and just use it for inconsequential things?
  3. Damn cold out! Yorkshire tea and crossword then up and at a desk, although, we got a machine at the Midland Machinery Show in Newark. Glad it is an indoor spot! Colleague assisting Fentons of Bourne on their stand and I'll be there tomorrow! Purse, Unable.
  4. Awake far to early! Wet slushy start to the day. Ark, Tic, Turns.
  5. Sorry, was up,and away before I could think! Usual routine out of the window!
  6. I got a relative who is retired from the NHS. He admitted to me that his tax bill was more than the average yearly income each month. His pension was twice my income.
  7. I'm not from a wealthy background, nor will my kids or their kids either...... I'll not get a title or status from what I do or my bad decisions previously..... I'll never get a big salary or expense account just for being there...... Regrettably, there will be no gravy train for me!...... These muppets have cost me an extra £350/400 per month because I work every day, have a truck, try to save a bit for the rainy day, have a semi rural/farming/timber background and don't really like free loaders of any type! I recently saw a quote that Labour wanted to hurt Ag folk as a response to Thatcher killing the dysfunctional coal industry! Don't get me wrong as I like heavy industry and that community but if it costed £2 for £1 worth of crap product then why bother! I know people who where two years at the NCB who will pull a better pension than I after 40+ years in the private sector and are grateful that their pensions have always been protected and now Reeves boosted it with no return on the investment..... Am I bitter and twisted? You better believe it! In spades. With 'Kin brass knobs on!
  8. The vet I took the old cat to was very good, seeing how upset I was, she was great. Did the job on the cat but as she said, "we could spend a grand and got him to last a few more months, but to what end?" Sad that some would have lengthened the process in the name of humanity but she euthanised him with animal welfare in mind. Years back, a vet told me that they give a lot of time and money with farmers and other animal owners who cannot or even will not pay their bill, out of love for animals. He said "if you want to give him compensation for that horse, give it to me and I'll give a bit to each of those he owes too!"
  9. BOOM! Tad early but have a good day Y'all. Christening Harry Joseph Champion today and the after do is in the pub! Epic! Sobering thought, I wanted to write a beer IOU in the card, but I will be 78 and probably in the ground by then!
  10. In bed and warm! Yorkshire tea and she gone for a run! Utter madness..... Hearty, Chokes.
  11. Enjoy the last of the decent weather and crack on for the weekend is upon us! Seize, Strait.

  13. Good luck with the knee! I had a disturbed night's sleep for some reason, feel like I'm short of a couple of hours! Bear, Leaf, Lop.
  14. No clue from talking to Farmi direct or looking at the parts diagrams?
  15. Wonder if the church will be offering reparations to the victims of Smyth?
  16. Morning Team! Have a good day y'all! Top, All, Dover.

  21. Private use is an odd subject... if I stop on the way home at tesco, grab some food and or just grub, or just fuel, that ain't in the scope!
  22. I may make the suggestion and we do as the politicians and just lie about our expenses. If it works for them, it works for the proletariat?

    Dash cam

Bin day on a bit of road with cars parked at the pavement on the offside, couple of gaps but a chicane at either end. The bin lorry heading my way, but wouldn't pull in. I noticed that he couldn't pass me and cars stuck in the chicane behind - nowhere for anyone to go so went up the pavement on my passenger side, took 6 seconds to pass bin lorry, but a pedestrian appeared out of a drive. BOOOM! Oncoming car had dashcam. Guilty of dangerously and carelessly propelling an engine driven device along a pavement.

They can be a good thing to defend yourself in an incident or prosecute yourself or others in a misdemeanor! Out of a class of 24 miscreants such as myself for driving up the pavement, 19 had been dobbed in to the 50 by dash cam footage or GoPro headcams!
  25. Best news! Fiji beat Wales!
