  4. Personally i would have a go yourself but first get someone in to do say an acre first to give you the experience. It will also be worth doing a chainsaw course it shows you different cuts to make as well, its not as easy as it looks many people who have been doing it for a long time make it look easy. Are you thinking of splitting it post and rail yourself??? Most of all have fun and be safe:001_cool:

  7. Thinking about getting a new laptop as wife is commandering mine for a course she is starting:sad:. I'm looking at the samsung NC10 10" has anyone got one and would they reccommend it, it will mainly be used for internet (Arbtalk) and a few documents.

  12. Work for the railway for checking the lines you start off on 19k and moving up to 30k, even working in the signal boxes is about 40-50k.

  15. I showed it him before he left and said it might end up somewhere:biggrin: I was rough the morning after for someone who doesn't useally drink i drank alot:blush:. I think someone filmed him barfing in the middle of the arena, a very entertaining evening as well.

  17. What a great time and a great bunch of people, A really enjoyable event definitely will be going again. I've just started recovering from last night:beer: Will post pics of Milling and a pic of a pished arbtalker passed out (you know who you are) A big thanks to Justin and Steve for organising the event:congrats:
  18. The best thing you can start with is knowledge and experience IMO
  19. It doesn't take long a lathe because of the speed its spinning but i can see on planks it can take some time. Yacht varnish i find very hard wearing and a good gloss Finish.
