Strange that his hands bruise like those of an ill man in his late 70's, yet his ear seemed to regenerate like Wolverine. Saying that, people do go rapidly downhill when they get a serious illness. As said above, horse chestnut leaf miner, usually non fatal for trees but doesn't look great. Clearing away this years leaves when they drop can help to suppress it happening next year. The leaf miner "over-winters" in leaf litter. Also, as Matt pointed out, your ash tree is on its way out.

I wholeheartedly agree. Life would be pretty shit without the freaks and the weirdos. The best people are, invariably, oddballs. I like vinyl as it's a tangible thing that you have to interact with. CD's are a bit like a microwave compared to an oven. These days, most of the music I listen to is bluetoothed through my hearing aid. Occasionally I crank up the amp and rattle the windows.

Depending on how much Influence people like Musk and Thiel wield in the UK, a surveillance state is exactly what they have in mind. Palantir is a red flag, and the fact Mandelson is involved should raise eyebrows.
