  2. ive sent a quote for reduction/removal, also extracts from "fungal stratagies of wood decay in trees" "diagnosis of ill health in trees" and "principles of tree hazard assesment and management" also sent a cover letter explaing the 2 options and associated management tis out of my hands

  13. probably... but the amount i can earn in the time that it would take me to fit it, it just doesnt make sence. i might as well get someone to do it once and properly insted of messing around with it and probably having to pay someone to look at it in the end anyway im pretty good at cutting trees, but not so good at motor mechanics etc

  15. i booked mine in to the garage for this friday to get my winch fitted:blushing:
  16. when i caught my leg just before christmas, the trousers were stretched as i was in a funny position and the saw went straight through them, i wasnt even at full revs, just blimping the throttle as i finished a cut(cutting and holding)
  17. just had a measure..... im 6ft 2, how tall are you rich, you usually make me feel short
  18. 6ft 2 or there abouts and just under 15st, dont really strugle with reductions, its all technique and thinking light
  19. alex took a couple with his camera as well today, which will be better than my sweaty mobile phone pics. we will definately take heaps of photos when we rec climb it all is good ross, saving my pennies for nz in december

  21. big turkey oak, throwline is 55m and both ends ended up about 8ft off the ground, i reckon theres at least 20ft of tree above where i threw to. going back to climb it properly as we were only working on a branch about 6m from the ground edit, the anchor point for pic 4, wasnt the anchor point from the throw, as neither of us had a rope long enough
