  1. 3metre ropeguide, got 2 big dismantles in the next 2 weeks so this will be ideal for chokeing round the stem when chogging down
  2. my first 16strand splice was a nightmare, i ended up with many blisters and very sore hands. slow down, think about what your doing, what the ropes doing and what you want the rope to do. think about trying to create space within the rope, this can all be achieved by milking and masageing the rope im very much a novice when it comes to all this splicing malarky but have found that its not as hard as it seems or you would think
  3. when i do set it up properly i tend to use a cinch(only because thats all i have), but then you dont have an anti panic feature like the petzl id

  6. ummm:blushing: i could of set something up but id probably get my self down quicker to be honest, as i was only using it to aid access not sure my access line is long enough really, think its 50m

  8. had i been going up further and not working on the way up i would of tied an alpine butterfly on the access line,conected my ropeguide, climbing line etc to that and used srt'd up the tail of the access line. then cliped into my ddrt system. not sure if that makes sence, im sure some one could explain it better

  10. i struggle with blaze and velocity really agrevates my tennis elbow through having to grip so much, also i find blaze almost 2 light
  11. alexs oak from this morning appologies for the poor picture qaulity but they were taken on my phone the last 3 are of a false crotch setup on my mammut power static access line with rope guide and ddrt climbing system. this was set up to prune out 8 good sized dead limbs up to about 50 ft, i footlocked the tail of my climbing system

  15. the sling looks untidy doesnt it, looks like noddys getting a call tomorrow for some more beeline. do you think it should be splice like a footlock strop ie a big eye on one end and a small on the other

  19. we were on site about 6 times(days) but they wernt full days. we had a couple of early finishes(about 2pmish) and didnt get to site till gone nine after picking up materials etc most days

  23. so alex took a load of photos that were alot better than the ones i took with my phone so ive started a new thread. treehouse was built for hebie the 7yr old and financed by his grand mother. lovely spot, good crack, and the pile of woodchip had some of it used
