  3. Why is your hitch slipping if all the jobs you are doing at the moment are sappy? If your hitch is staying slippy then I would have thought a clutch would be fine

  10. re pollarding riverside alders at the Mill at Gordelton Hotel and Restaurant 95% tip tied and rigged down as whole stems. regrowth stem diameter circa 6 inches so nothing had to be snedded out and could go straight through the chipper. regrowth circa 25-30ft. lots of decay in the tops around the base of the regroth, but had 2 pulleys sharing the load most of the time spilt the climbing with alex bacon sandwiches and tea served at 10 happy days
  11. paul, ive downloaded the form, but im yet to recieve my new membership number after i let my membership lapse:blushing:
  12. ive got a pair at the moment and they seem pretty good. they arnt in the same league as the stretchairs but for the money they cost, they are turning out to be a good choice. the protective patches seem durable enough and ive got used to the slighty tighter fit. ive dragged them round hedge reductions, a few oaks and a dirty great poplar and they are holding up well. you could buy alot worse imo
  13. id definately do it
  14. the TO should/will come out to assess the tree under the statutory DDD notice so it shoudnt be a given

  18. same as a compact retractable system would be ace
  19. Well I thought the food was great, and know of plenty of others that did as well. I don't mind spending a bit more for some proper food, and it was a refreshing change to not eat poor quality burgers and soggy chips. Plus the staff serving were great and in my opinion did a great job People seem to critasize what ever the AA put on
  20. identical setup to mine mate apart from my armour prus is spliced
  21. I have a black diamond haul bag and the metolius version and both are bomb proof
  22. An srt setup can cost less than that. srt and footlocking are the most efficient access techniques Tony. In competion people are often awarded points for thinking outside the box!! It doesn't mean it's the best technique
  23. You will be inefficient Tony as you are pulling 3ft to advance 1, where as il casually walk up on my srt system. You may beat me in a race through sheer determination and bloody mindedness but who will be more tired and as a result leas ready for the ensuing rescue
  24. It's a massively inefficient. Your pulling at least 3ft of ripe for every 1ft of ascent. Srt access then ddrt to the rescue
