  1. I have no mercy now, any sign of playing silly Buggers and I file a County Court Claim. I've been wrangling with the 'Blue Machine' over jobs finished in march, messed me around for months. In the end I filed a CCC - got a groveling phone call the next day offering immediete payment:001_smile:
  2. I've only ever worked on them in Germany. Common municipal tree over there.
  3. Nice Post Andrew. Why is it some people cant deal with thinking just beyond the surface?
  4. Ha. Good luck with that. Getting Scottish power Authorisation is a trial of fiery burning hoops to jump through. They tried to blackmail me into working up there to gain my authorisation.... Scottsh Power is the hardest REC in the country to work for.
  5. Nice one Dave, that looked like a LOT of fun
  6. Well, we set off yesterday at 7.30 to collect my new Landrovers from Northern Ireland. Caught the ferry from Holyhead to Dun Leaghorie, and the Kind Mr Dave K met us off the ferry. Unfortunately, we then hit a blizzard. Going past Slane was exciting, with nearly 4" of slushy snow on the roads. Grabbed the Landrovers - I can wholeheartedly recommend Todds Leap 4x4 for ex utility LR's, excellent serivce. Epic drive through the slush back to Dublin, onto the late ferry and home. Stopped for a few quick guiness on the Lifey... Got in at 2.45am:thumbdown:
  7. I tried it in the mixed form a few years ago, like you say it goes rancid. I just wondered about the new method of small batch mixing
  8. Hmm. Who deleted my stream of conciousness ramblings in this thread?
  9. Yeah TD5's. Go like stink, very torquey.
  10. Yeah. Reef rock. If you liked that you'll love this... [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=e_LQU2-GOXY[/ame]
  11. More animal emotions- evil animals! [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WYcnEonB04E&feature=related[/ame]
  12. Here you go - [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pJz-yZUOgtM[/ame]
  13. Wotcha Paul, long time no see. Not in Spain?
  14. Never overlook the likes of Poplar, willow etc. If you have the facilities to dry it properly, it makes perfectly acceptable firewood.
  15. If one of my dogs did that, I would shoot it on the spot. Anybody who would do otherwise is a fool. I like my dogs totaly well trained, they are not allowed to even eat without my say. I trust my dogs implicitely with my children.
  16. Mr Ed

    New Knife

Me too. Bought this one in the little french town of Samoens in the haute savoie. Seriously sharp and fine, 9 inch stiletto blade -
  17. ANybody tried that new emulsion from Oregon? looked very neat...
  18. Damn. I hate coming across all chateau nuef du whinge. Its been a long day.
  19. oth got hiabs. Not sure if I'll leave them on though. Pay? a lot less than I should... The dealer got 18 in, and a week later they were all sold.
  20. I doubt that on a football or plumbing forum, such a thing would would not even raise comment, but on a forum where chainsaws, firewood, forestry and trees are regularly discussed, then surely the reaction is most likely to be negative. I appreciate that with you being part of the establishment, complaints against it are not likely to fall on sympathetic ears, and sarcastic comments about whinging are the ordeur de jour. But some of us have spent a lot of time dealing with the FC, and this is yet more evidence of their continued bungling.
  21. Right. I have to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I go to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when I get home, our Dad and our mother kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.!.!
  22. Not sure, I've not collected them yet
  23. Ive Just bought 2:001_cool:
  24. And try telling that to kids these days, and they dont believe you!
  25. Maybe - but the sentiment expressed is valid. Why is it in a time when fuel is becoming vastly more expensive, does the Commision feel that it is a time to stop giving out licences? Does the governments drive towards carbon nuetral emmisions and energy renewables only apply to big business? Does the individuals efforts not count? Let us not forget that our Woodlands are publicly owned - it is not the private estate the FC treats it as. And for the record, since its inception, the FC has an unblemished record of being unable to find its own arse without a map. Its mismangement of public forests is the butt of jokes among foresters right accros europe.
