  1. I recon Lofty could do well out of this, and get rid of a large amount of his stock. So, if you now taking orders, I will have some of this FOC stuff too deano, but can i have 20 bags? I will be a trouble free customer and not ask tooooo many questions:001_tt2:
  2. Looks smart Steve, dare i ask how much?
  3. Sure mate, my post wasnt aimed at you directly, as i see from some of your other posts, you are more capable than some with a saw. You do have a point as far as anything "safer" is better, but i believe this type of terminology is aimed at the less experienced, and could lead them to believe its "safe", then there becomes a problem.
  4. Did i call him dishonest:confused1: Ok, i will call him unreliable. He would be the guy, after asking all the questions he has, and being satisfied with the answers, would order say a "cube of seasoned below 22% moisture, ash logs at £80 delivered". The supplier would then deliver said load of logs, get them on the floor on his drive then, he would turn around and say "they are too big for my stove, im not buying them" Yes, unreliable, is how i see him.
  5. In my honest opinion, there should not be a need for "safety" chain. If anyone is using a saw, they should have some kind of idea and training, ie, knowledge about kick back zones etc. Attaching words like "low kickback" and "safety chain" to a product as dangerous as a chainsaw can be a little misleading to the novice, or less confident saw user. And, of course, they dont cut well either!
  6. I must admit, this thread has given me a certain amount of amusement, but the people who have criticised wansronian have based opinions upon all his threads and posts. He really was suspicious about his said supplier, but it seemed he was going to get a good deal. He went on to call many untrustworthy and dishonest, but yet himself, came on this thread three times saying he was going. But still came back. On that basis alone i would not like to deal with such a customer myself. So, if you do return mate(again), please take on board all comments (your own included), and seperate the the bits where people were taking the mick, the comments you were offended by(i feel initiated by yourself) and i think you will find, you got all the infomation you were after, for FREE! Happy log hunting. Pete.
  7. Yep no hard feelings, i too have plenty of yellow ash if you are interested. Oh and i also have plenty of white ash, but its green:sneaky2:
  8. Think i would give him a go, sounds fit and keen enough.
  9. I was just thinking that. What if he was to do bits of woodland management, in your wood, as his "hobby" and clear small amounts of timber to keep the woodland "tidy"?
  10. Let us know how it goes when youve sharpened it up a bit Dave:thumbup1:
  11. Just raggin you Tommy, you were so busy thinking about girlies you got all mixed up between shows:lol:
  12. I nearly spat my wine out! Got a dribble down my chin anyway:lol:
  13. looks good Dave, the first one i made had a digger blade the same as yours on it and it sent logs flying too. I sharpened the angle as treequip says and it cured it. Its a bit difficult (and scary) trying to keep hold of the log when its too blunt:blushing:
  14. I recon you must be dreaming now tommy:confused1: Ive been to a few, but dont remember the 2007?
  15. I could just see the advert for them; "Harrogate Moisture Meter, guranteed to dry your wood quicker"
  16. Did you use the wraptor on that one Pete?
  17. Never checked any below 15% on my log heap Jonny, but guess my customers arent so choosey as yours:sneaky2:
  18. Yeh, sounds like a nice friendly do, never been there but got rellies nearby so could drop the family off and go down for a day
  19. 9% was that Harrogate percent Jonny? Sounds very dry:sneaky2:
  20. So what amount of trade stands are there, say in comparison the the APF?
  21. This "seasoned" subject keeps going on and on, and lots of talk about this and that, but what moisture would you say seasoned should be? I realise if you state a particular moisture content, it must be such, but at what point is it no longer a "green" product?
