  1. As for me going, should be up for it depending what weekend etc:thumbup1: Would it be on a saturday or a sunday Darren?
  2. Thats the idea of a get together fella:thumbup:
  3. Crazy machine! It does amaze me though, these guys spend hundreds of hours, and thousands of pounds building something like that, then abuse the clutch on it as if they just stole it from a tescos car park:confused1:
  4. Darr, is it not possible to flop the stem in lumps and mill it?
  5. Size 1 is the smaller one. Size 2 is large.
  6. If only you were closer:001_huh: Some of the best firewood you can get IMO:thumbup1:
  7. I recon 2 to 3 days, depending how many hours a day. Or, Harrogate hours =25:001_tt2:
  8. Good old bus with a cab big enough to have a barn dance in, and a steering lock you need 25 acres to turn round in. Gear linkage a bit fancy and subject to wear. Not really a great road tractor, but excellent pto and heavy draught workhorse. Cab parts such as door difficult to find replacememnts for. Good strong perkins engine, none turbo as standard, should do 10,000 hrs before rebuild if its been maintained well.
  9. There you go, thats more the spirit, didnt take too much to get you in to put your brain in gear did it?
  10. There ya go Darr, near got the team up already. Another couple of lads, a few hours on phone calls and jobs a good'un:thumbup:
  11. I realise its a serious thread, thats why i made a serious offer. Its up to you, you know i'm not afraid of working an away job.
  12. I have good contcts and the gear to do it Darr, you could always pass me the job and i would sub you in:thumbup:
  13. If they are marking "safe" heights and distances, there should not be an issue what they are made of.
  14. That way can sometimes cause hockling on some ropes. Alternating the braids in and out is supposed to prevent it. Not always though.

    Aaac. Sole traders?

Hi Paul, just curious but have you any idea when the review will be out? It would be real good if at first we could get an idea of what the new requirements are likely to be so we can work towards them, as some of the local competition are working towards aaac status too. would be nice to beat them to it! Lol! Cheers, Pete.
  16. Now that was naughty! Are you "nipping" the wire strip over your nose? Hope its going well Jen.
  17. Nah, i was thinking if an 18 stone koala can climb a euc delicately, a slight defect like that shouldnt deter a 6 stone midget:001_tt2:
  18. I'd price it to be climbed & dismantled, no worries. Then sub in the squirt:thumbup: .
  19. From my experience with these, and as some have said, this one is more than likely due to the harsh winter. I looked at one just the same yesterday. Pruning out the dead and old flower heads should be all thats required. On the issue of regeneration, I have in the past cut them down and leave a stump approx 3 feet high. If this is done after any hard frost, but before June, there is a good chance of prolific regen, even to the point after the first season most sprouts may need removing and leave 3 or 4 strong shoots.
  20. Are you saying a copper nails have reincarnation powers?
  21. Ah! Thats just added a little more to my limited IT knowledge. Cheers:thumbup1: Always done it long hand up until now, might be worth a try.
