    Avant 420?

Had it painted in RealTree. Good isn't it? Most of my photos are taken from the drivers seat....... I drag brash, feed the chipper, and carry logs with it.

    Avant 420?

Here's a site I was on last week. It's a lot steeper than it looks, 2 metre drop over 8-9 metres. Moved this lot up the bank. No way I'd have let anyone else use the machine, especially as there was a 6' drop down to the water.

    Avant 420?

I've never tipped my multione over in 6-7 years, worked some pretty steep/rough sites too.
  4. Drop the old oil out into a container and measure the volume, then you know how much to put back in. Tip, if you use the wife's best kitchen measuring jug it's best to wash it before giving it back.
  5. One rule for everyone, either you pay all the costs and they do it in work time, or they pay all the expenses and do it in their time if it's something they want to do.
  6. Be careful slinging crap, it can end badly.
  7. It's not fair to ask them to take annual leave to go on a course that you want them to do. It is fair however to expect them to get themselves to a local course venue instead of the yard for the duration of the course.
  8. Anyone tried Courant? I've got plenty of armor-prus still but it might be a good option.
  9. High hours bc 1000s can need a lot of maintenance in replacement bearings etc, if it's had a complete overhaul then fair enough but for that price your probably going to get a dog.
  10. Not only thin on the ground, they tend to be running their own firm rather than looking for employment.
  11. You should charge less surely, you're only using half as much rope.
  12. If the chipper will start! Had one where someone had stuffed a crab apple tree into it, laden with fruit. That took a bit of digging before the old spout off chip fountain routine.
  13. Just put a bigger jockey wheel on to help carry the load.
  14. Got a pic? Or pm a link if you don't want to post it.
  15. 11500. You may need to extend the chassis, depending on how much overhang there is. The crane needs about 500mm, but then you need another 400-500 mm between the crane and the rear tyres. If there is enough overhang you may be better off shortening the body. The crane actually sits on the subframe, but that needs to be supported by chassis rails, and then there are usually drop plates on the sides that hold it all together.
  16. No, the purpose of having terms and conditions is to protect you, the business. The consumer is protected automatically, if you don't offer a cooling off period in your t&cs then your not adhering to the law. The customer may choose to proceed earlier than 14 days, but they should be made aware (in your written t&cs) that they waive their right to cancel if they choose to proceed sooner than 14 days. That's as I understand it anyway.
  17. Also depends how it's held in place. If it's a single over centre latch, then you need a cut out. But a timber wolf spout is removable with no tools and a single fixing, and has no safety cut out. If we're talking feed hoppers then a Farmi feed Hopper is two tool less latches to fold up, no cut out..... And who hasn't bunged a chipper up and run it up with the spout off to clear the blockage?
  18. You must have used some really bad machines, properly set u with sharp knives and sliver breakers they make perfect chips. Brash can come out a bit stringy, but that's true of any bigger chippers.
  19. Bit if a tickle on an oak with Inonotus and Gano.
  20. Haven't got any of those thankfully.
  21. I got it for the stake nuts on my Ifor tipper, can't think of anything else that would need that kind of torque.
  22. Yes, put the link up now
  23. I've got a 3/4 drive teng in a 6' long box too, that goes up to 450nm http://www.teng.co.uk/3492ag-er-teng-tools-3-4-drive-90-450-nm-bi-directional-torque-wrench.html
  24. My teng does the bolts on a 530 fine. http://www.teng.co.uk/1292ag-e4r-teng-tools-1-2-drive-70-350-nm-bi-directional-torque-wrench.html
  25. Solenoid operated is what you need, Flowfit are a good place to start.
