  1. There, it's back.
  2. I agree with Bob, go for the XTC.
  3. I like it when it happens like that, naturally, I have a problem when the hand of man tries to replicate it.
  4. Yup, I have to admit it was myself, it's called high french/west country pollard pruning, I will be touring the lecture circuit soon lecturing the gullible on this new natural, lightning, storm damage, straight cutting, good for the little creatures, pruning technique.
  5. Are they Poplars? Looks like some kind of cool new pruning technique that somebody has made up:sneaky2:
  6. Looking great Rupe, steel though, damn heavy,or is it? especially for a LDV, mine struggles with a full load and the chipper, was aluminum too expensive? I can't remember what your tool box is made of, steel also? I have seen tarp used for roofing, looks good if custom made but will you need to stand on the roof? I expect so.
  7. Gerry is the man, just sorting the gear out to try that technique, I am making a footloop out of a dog lead, I don't have a spare Pantin so will try a Petzl Croll that I have never used. DRT is not dead!
  8. I seem to remember somebody asking me that same question about the Beech in my avatar:sneaky2: Nice work, like the cover on the car.
  9. Battle of the bean field springs to mind. The Pigs sure got brutal that day. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JCkUZAwvEA]YouTube - Battle of Beanfield[/ame] Also that video is evidence of how controlled the media is in this country. I didn't say that.
  10. “A woman, a spaniel, and a walnut tree, The more you beat them the better they be.” Taylor, the Water-Poet.
  11. It still looks pretty young for a Walnut, maybe a little weight reduction on the vulnerable limbs, you can get a nice shape out of a Walnut though, Until it starts regrowing that is.
  12. All trees look crap after topping.
  13. Ha! I was still skiving off school in 84 you old fart:001_tongue:
  14. Nice stuff Ed, I hope you worked Matt to the bone?
  15. Nope, I only eat live food. That Sycamore was in a horrible state and towered over the neighbouring garden, luckily for me there was a lovely big Beech to hang from and also to rig off, just as well as the flex in the remaining stem was a little disconcerting.
  16. I have had the same problem with my old 150, the chassis that the relays behind the control switches sit in, had come away from the back of the box, I glued them back and for good measure, I reinforced the mend with some silicone around the edges of the chassis. Works fine now.
  17. Leave it on.
  18. Yesterday, hit a deer on the way to work, luckily I was slowing down from 170mph in my rice rocket and saw the deer spinning to a halt after going right under the car. It was dead. Anyway, working on a Sunday?
  19. Talking of free parties, I only just recall this one...[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atLUYO8uV_Y]YouTube - Smeatharpe 1992[/ame]
  20. No but you can go back...BBC iPlayer - Glastonbury: 2009: 6 Music at Glastonbury: Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds
  21. That's because the Tory party made listening to repetitive beats in a crowd, in the open air, illegal. Oh and they had a special way with dealing with thieves at Castle Morton.
  22. I like the nice molding of the soles, good heel, looked perfect for spikes. I am just transferring funds from my off shore account to enable me to purchase said boots.
  23. You barstewards!
