I did a dying Robinia last week, it felt very dodgy but the dead was incredibly strong, thing is with Robinia is that the live branches can be the opposite, ie, very weak, just follow Steve's advice go slow, go small.

OK, I will sort out some pictures in the meantime... Trust fund lobbyists? They are the people, for what ever reason, sit behind their keyboards in far flung corners of the globe criticizing other peoples work. Most of these people are really rather dire at what they do and mistake qualifications with talent. Some, despite never visiting a country, think that they have the right to criticize an ancient practice that we do all the time, we of course, being adults, would not dream of doing the same to them. But really what Trust Fund Lobbyists are are just that, trust fund lobbyists, they have sufficient funds behind them to be able to take their supposed higher ground, most of the time you will find that these people have made these funds carrying out dubious practices that they have now chosen to conveniently forget. Bit of a rant there.

Confused eh? Well sometimes I am also confused, maybe I will put some pictures up again. Maybe I should put my name across the picture to avoid anybody pretending that pictures of me are of them.

No video but hundreds of pictures, I put some on here then took them off, some are on my Facebook page. I took them off here because I just couldn't be bothered with the trust fund lobbyists response. Thanks Mark, it was only my third crane job, the others being eight or nine years ago, I was very rusty, a few mistakes but thanks to Reg for the perfect advice to take my time. I'm looking forward to doing more now.

No none at all in Arboretum, they have their own staff and don't use outside contractors, the site I was on is right next door and used to be the nursery for the Arboretum, it is privately owned and is, as you can imagine, a stunning place with some incredible trees, the owner only uses it occasionally as his main dwelling is in London's Mayfair.

Friday I was removing this dead spar from a nice tall pine in Westonbirts former nursery when I noticed this nasty, flakey section of tree, good job I was lowering small chunks with no shock loading.

Friend of mine had his power tools stolen over the weekend, 4 x MS 200ts, 1 x ms200, 1 x Sthil hedge trimmer, 1 x 044, 1 x 064, 1 x Sthil blower and also his black Petzl climbing helmet and a file kit.

Good friend of mine has been out in Australia for over twelve years, tree work, rope access, on the tools and training people, in Oz and Papua New Guinea, he is now studying to become a Policeman and then joining the rescue squad, he's also getting married, so Australia can still be the land of opportunity.

Have you tried the bypass on the stress control? It could be playing up, unplug the little spade terminal then see if the rollers do the same as you described, remember the chipper will stall if you put anything big in so be ready on the control buttons. If this doesn't help check the control switches inside the box. Let us know how you get on.
