  10. FYI if you are referring to a transit type tipper it is certainly not 5ton, more like 2 ton max assuming they are overloaded.
  11. Discover nearly 15,000 tip sites across the UK eagerly accepting wood chip and timber from tree surgeons. 🚛 Don't miss out on the chance to turn your waste into profit! 💰 Cash In on Your Waste - Explore sites that not only accept your green waste but also reward you with cash or other incentives! 💸 Last year we made some important changes to the tip site directory. One of these was adding a key so users can quickly identify sites that offer a financial incentive to tree surgeons tipping waste. Incentives can range from cash payments through to beer, wine, or fresh produce. If you're lucky enough to be working near one of our sites in North Devon you might even be able to pick up some CBD! Why Choose Arbtalk's Tip Site Directory? ✅ Extensive Network: With nearly 15,000 tip sites, find the perfect local destination for your wood chip and timber waste. ✅ Profitable Partnerships: Maximize your earnings with nearly 2000 sites offering cash and attractive incentives for your waste. ✅ Time-Saving Solution: Say goodbye to wasted hours searching for tip sites, fuel costs, and time away from site. Our directory streamlines the process for you! Why does it cost to use the Arbtalk Tip Site Directory? A small charge of £30 + vat per year was introduced to the directory last year in order to tackle several issues: ✅ The speed at which the directory grew quickly generated additional expenses for Arbtalk, not just in the countless hours spent developing and managing it, but in expensive fees from Google due to the amount of resources the Google Maps API was using. ✅ Multiple websites to maintain. The directory doesn't just consist of Arbtalk. There are 2 additional websites largely responsible for populating the tip sites listed. All 3 sites take time and money to maintain, host, and further develop. ✅ Reducing abuse of the service. This was coming in from all angles, from tip site owners, members of the public, and tree surgeons using the feature. On an average day there were 100+ messages sent to tip site owners from members of the public asking if they could come and collect wood chips and timber. Adding a paywall stopped this overnight. Furthermore, there were many complaints about tree surgeons turning up and tipping off without prior consent from the tip site. Again, the paywall has largely removed this issue. Your fee of £30 + vat covers an entire year of usage of the directory. Considering that if you had to return to base, potentially losing an hour+, not to mention potentially leaving staff on site unable to continue chipping without an empty vehicle, we still feel this represents great value for money for the service provided. Not to mention if you pick a paying tip site you are likely to get this back straight away, bonus! Visit https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling to browse sites near you.

  13. STIHL has launched two new professional battery pole pruners, offering greater cordless performance than ever before. The two tools, forming part of the AP System, give professional landscapers and arborists lightweight operability and maximum power for unrivalled efficiency. Both the HTA 150 and HTA 160 offer a high power output of 1.4 kW, the same as the petrol HT 135 pole pruner and 0.3kW higher than the HTA 135. Driven by a powerful and low maintenance EC motor, both the HTA 150 and HTA 160 offer elite performance with both models capable of cutting through large branches for efficiency in professional arboriculture and forestry applications. While the HTA 160 boasts a rigid telescopic shaft with a maximum length of 405 cm, the same reach as professional petrol models, the HTA 150 offers a shorter, fixed length shaft best suited to thinning work in young stands. Battery pole pruners offer numerous advantages compared to petrol models, such as a low noise and emission free work environment, low running costs and easier maintenance. Thanks to the lightweight magnesium gearbox, both models are easy to manoeuvre into the desired position for precise cutting. The design of the sprocket cover is also optimised to promote efficient ejection of the wood shavings for faster working too. Like many tools in the AP System, the HTA 150 and HTA 160 feature a metal mesh air filter, helping to cool the battery and motor during operation and further enhancing the lifetime of the product. Compatible with the Smart Connector 2 A, both models allow users to gather insights from the tool, such as working time and working speed history. Not only this, but this intuitive feature also alerts the user when maintenance tasks are due on each individual tool to maximise productivity. For more information on the HTA range and STIHL’s professional battery tools, please visit www.stihl.co.uk.
