  1. Good work. Looks like they only paid to have it reduced a year previously?
  2. @sean just came across this thread, worth bumping for the few amazing images alone
  3. Sounds like the council know they don’t have a leg to stand on but dropping it entirely would be them admitting that. They might be offering a caution to save face
  4. Sounds like customer has good records of all of this, I’d say court
  5. How does that get around any paperwork?
  6. Yep, they're a lovely boot in my experience. Far less clumpier than a regular chainsaw boot. Can bit slightly uncomfortable at times if you have your foot stuck in a tight fork. Plenty comfy in spikes.
  7. I assume you're looking for something smaller than a 3.5t?
  8. Thanks for sharing. Most harnesses come with far too long of a bridge. I always end up shortening them, this alters the centre of balance considerable and reduces the chance of the leg loops being pulled up into the crotch. If this was mine I would choose to hang the saw similarly to how I hang it on the treemotion, but with a caritool mounted behind the side d-ring to high clip it. I have found hanging it at this point gives better reach when wanting to cut the opposite side to where its mounted.
  9. Well, apparently.... http://www.macleans.ca/society/the-preferred-jobs-of-serial-killers-aircraft-machinist-arborist-general-labourer-and-cop/
  10. Well its hard to tell where the rigging point is exactly, but pushing it the other way probably would have prevented that, as would the groundy letting the piece drop. Combination of those things along with possibly a mismatched snap cut to break it off cleanly. And of course, having his arm where it was didn't help things!
  11. Thats quite a workable way of doing things...at least I imagine so without actually seeing the job in question.
  12. Hope they find whoever did it
  13. You have a bit of a way to go yet! See you tomorrow mate
  14. absolutely. You can really bang those metal wedges in. The plastic ones are mere toys in comparison.
  15. Thanks for the vid Rob. I often wondered how easy they were to replace. Not sure I have ever known anyone to replace one in 20 years on the job
  16. Thank you, if everyone felt the same way that would certainly make it more worthwhile! Unfortunately I doubt that will be the case
  17. That’s a lot of issues Pete. Didn’t put you off getting another then?
  18. The iPhone app is in redevelopment, I knew about that problem. The Android one was working fine though so this is doubly annoying
  19. Good fells. If you'd been bought up on steel wedges like I was it would have cured your habit of hitting the wedge though
