  1. Wouldn’t rule out the possibility of eventually buying other battery tools. You should look at the entire range of whatever brand you are leaning towards
  2. I think it’s already in there
  3. Sod all i doubt, it’s lifting them that’s more the issue. I remmeber my old hakki pilke only needed 15hp To run but needed a 35hp tractor to comfortably lift it
  4. Hi Marcia, you need to add your address here https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling
  5. Selection of fungi on this tree. Ganoderma mostly I believe but not 100% sure on the red one
  6. Anyone want to take a crack at this? Crap pictures sorry. Foliage has a slightly weeping form.
  7. general grabbers for the past 10 years. Generally get 50k out of them
  8. sorry bert, missed this. look at the bottom of your listing
  9. Of course, I stupidly misread it as him referring to UK factories...this makes more sense ?
  10. What factories are shutting currently?
  11. It’s not racist at all!
  12. I have been wondering how they were doing. Drove past my local one a couple nights ago and they had the usual amount of cars parked out front
  13. They'll be fine. What conifers are you planning on using?
  14. Marlow Ropes, the leading Commercial and Leisure Marine rope manufacturer officially announces the introduction of their new environmentally-conscious innovation; the BLUE OCEAN RAPTOR Lowering Line made using 100% recycled waste plastic bottles. Every day more than 16 million plastic bottles end up in landfill in the UK alone, and this latest innovation from the pioneering UK rope manufacturer uses their engineering expertise to make an environmental difference; through the development of a high-quality premium Lowering line rope made using 100% recycled plastic bottle yarn. Managing Director, Jon Mitchell explains how the new product evolved; “When we found out about the astonishing quantities of plastic bottle waste, we knew we had to act, and sought partners who had the expertise to develop and produce quality rPET (recycled polyester) yarn. This, combined with our knowledge of engineering plastic polymers, allowed the innovation to become possible.” For every 1m of Marlow’s 16mm BLUE OCEAN LOWERING LINE, 7.5 waste plastic bottles are used to make it and this latest product launch demonstrates the UK company’s environmental commitment, as Jon expands on here: “We hope that by introducing this new product to the Arb market, it will encourage other manufacturers to act, enabling us as a manufacturer to make further progress towards a circular economy. Our ultimate goal is to switch all our polyester fibres from virgin PET to rPET.” The Blue Ocean’s unique construction offers the same popular attributes as the normal Raptor and Marlow’s other Arboriculture products including good abrasion resistance and shock absorption with soft and supple flexibility with zero strength loss or shrinkage but in an environmentally friendly way. The Blue Ocean range extends into Marlow’s Leisure Marine industry encouraging a more sustainable approach to the rope manufacturing industry. For further information about the BLUE OCEAN Lowering line and Marlow’s commitment to eco-conscious practices visit www.marlowropes.com and the Arb Show in Cirencester between 15th – 16th May. We will be exclusively talking about the Blue Ocean Lowering line along with other sustainable new products being introduced.
  15. what are you going to be using the ground saw for? They are getting better and better now, especially the newer Stihls(don't have any experience with the Husky), but for my a sole ground saw i'd still be sticking with a petrol saw for the time being, unless you are just using it for snedding out for the chipper etc
  16. Here you go. I doubt 90% or arborists will ever use most of these techiques, and the 10% that do could probably easily find other options, but this shows you some of the additional advantages the DMM can offer
  17. Not sure about being better built but its certainly sexier! The ISC is pretty much bomb proof, used them for years. The DMM offers other advantages if you want to get really technical(see some of treemagineers videos), but for a regular rigging block you wont go wrong with ISC
  18. Congratulations
  19. Thanks for the clarification
  20. incompetence perhaps?
  21. No doubt the HSE will be using this to support their demand for 2 rope working
  22. Thats what I thought. I think they need to clarify exactly what they mean by this spring.
  23. I wasn't aware there were springs in those cams?
  24. I haven't touched it ?
  25. That’s surprising!
