  1. silver i just painted the back posts and the 2 side posts with hammerite as they were looking a bit shabby, but im thinking of spraying the whole back frame silver

  4. im patching up my truck at the moment....not the cab, just the metal work on the tipping unit. last time i used hammerite, it didnt last as long as i hoped, could be either because of the abuse a tree truck takes....or i didnt apply enough coats......or the stuffs crap. what are your opinions on hammerite over red oxide followed by metal spray instead? obviously hammerites easier and quicker but is it worth spending the extra time with the oxide?

  9. apparently there should have been a crash in 2004, thats when the goverment stepped in and bought the interest rates lower
  10. interesting impartial view ed......theres normally 2 views with regards house prices....everyone who owns a house says the prices are going up, everyone who doesnt and wants the prices to go down say so accordingly.....fact is no estate agents or anyone associated with housing cant admit there will be a crash, second they do people stop buying and force the crash.
  11. i think there will be a big fall some poeple are talking as much as 50% the whole worlds economy seems screwed at the moment so i wouldnt be surprised

  14. few pics from this mornings job, co-dominant willow with a crack at the bottom...it was a bit windy today but it didnt appear to be opening too badly.....wouldnt have wanted to rig off it though
  15. stihl do a really good course but its very limited numbers and from what i can gather available only to dealers......if you're very chummy with your nearest stihl dealer it might be worth having a word!
  16. not thought about just finding a better company to work for? if i a climber with 10 years experience is working for £59 then more fool him IMO....of course an employer is going to take advantage of that!

  19. you'll never make enough money to run a business splitting it 2 ways let alone 3 ways..i assume thats what you meant when you said you were going laone? or are you all starting your own businesses?
  20. i rarely rope off unless i have to however in the past ive roped off large just to avoid having to strip ivy
