  1. no...sorry im a very fussy person.....i have a kinda idea what i want but dont know what i want if that makes sense think something along the lines of the sherrill cartoons the actual arbtalk logo itself is going to be a different thing altogether....keep watching for next months comp mathew!
  2. my saws in the shop at the moment with carb issues and i had a very interesting chat with the mechanic. its the S61D carbs with the issue but stihl have produced a remedy for the problem. they need a pump piston kit fitted, part number 11291209701, this well rectify any probs and only costs 7.31+vat for the part.....some places might try and fit a new carb instead at the cost of around £60 plus labour
  3. cool...well look out for next months competition, your talents might come in handy for ya
  4. im looking for something slightly humorous
  5. not just yet mate...still not quite got it in my head what i want
  6. i was thinking more along the lines of a meat tenderizer
  7. yours does look too uniform in all honesty carl, but well done anyway, i have never had a go at that yet so have nothing to offer
  8. did you sell this to the customer or was it something they had seen and asked for?
  9. thanks dagmar...i wonder if theres any more recent study on this, beings as that paper is 16-17 years old? good find all the same though. in your work do you come across many fruit trees with variegated leaves and is the fruit production as high?
  10. sounds cool.....and in theory it should draw big crowds, will be interesting to see if it does or not
  11. they're not uncommon to find, you'd probably want to go to more of a tool hardware shop than the likes of b&q though. i think i saw some teng stuff in halfords once come to think of it
  12. im hoping the competition section to this forum will be expanded on next year....unfortunately the forum didnt start till just before the last uk comp of the year so there hasnt been much coverage. hopefully next year will be a different story, and maybe we'll see some fresh faces from arbtalk giving it a shot!
  13. good article colin, i must confess i only just made the time to read it. i think a lot of people would benefit from going to the climbing comps.....i see a lot of attitude displayed such as "oh thats all very well but i bet they couldnt do the job for real". wether thats true or not is irrelevant as thats not what its about. ive competed once myself and intend to compete again just for the ongoing education and the challenge.
  14. i went for a health day today and had the same prob.....craving chocolote energy about 3pm didnt have none though......settled for carrot sticks...luckily i was only stump grinding
  15. I have asked this question in the past but never had a definitive answer. do varigated leaves and purple leaves etc which have their clorophyll masked by various other pigments suffer any ill health because of it? It would seem, at least to me that the photosynthesis wouldnt be as efficient. I know some trees ie copper beech seem more succeptible to disease and ill health that common beech....how much of this is due to the above question?
  16. welcome Inztrees...sorry if i sometimes miss people out!!!
  17. all are welcome! thanks for joining!
  18. welcome mate.....least you'll have plenty time to read up on all the latest techniques here!
  19. im gradually changing all my tools to teng piece by piece....havent got round to their screwdrivers yet but i have no reason to doubt they will be any less quality than all their other tools
