  4. How many of you make it a point to do recreational climbing. in the 10 years ive been climbing ive only rec climbed a couple times.....comps not included. its a lot of fun being able to do big swings and quick branch runs without any extra gearing weighing you down.
  5. i got mine on ebay for £80 do your homework if you buy one on ebay though....theres people advertising 250mh models for £10, thats bollocks. the price SHOULD give it away if they are exagerating the strength.
  6. who is using these? I bought mine a few weeks back after seeing some in action. its already proved invaluble for pointing things out to customers that you'd otherwise spend forever trying to explain. and also they're dammed good fun! few pics, one reflected off my truck, one just shooting into the sky, and the one last one is reflecting off a tree approx 400 meters away. this ones a 100mh model
  7. cracking day in contrast to the rest of the week. got a few log orders out today and rounding up the day cutting the grass
  8. i try and avoid EVERYTHING during bank holidays
  9. the one of treesurfers i think we all liked best wont work for the headed as the trees too tall.....it will push the forums too far down the page by the time the banners and everything else are in place.....that will def go on the t-shirts though
  10. not sure. wanted to keep it simple. i personally like it
  11. haha...if i'd only known about treesurfers talents before I commissioned this other guy!!
  12. thats what the designer put on there, its just a copyright watermark
  13. i was reading an interesting thread at www.treebuzz.com that discussed using srt to gain a higher anchor point where the anchor point was questionable. run the srt line through a sling at a safe point on the trunk so if the highest anchor point fails you'll only fall to the next safety, much like lead climbing with quickdraws i suppose, or at least this is how i understood it. meanwhile you're working Ddrt off of the srt.
  14. so when is your first comp then;)
  15. haha cant say i felt the same, i enjoyed not doing tree work a couple days this week specially with the weather has it was!
  16. how long you been doing treework for now then raaf?
  17. i shouldnt worry too much about missing the S, i dont think many people will notice!
  18. just so you all know, the forum will be undergoing various changes at random times over the next few days....so if any settings change that you think are detrimental to the site please speak up.
  19. ive just added a google search bar in the search menu so you can search directly from the forum
  20. im referring to the long prussik used to secure yourself to the doubled ropes, not for a foot hold
  21. i'm taking another day off....i have plenty to do at home without working in this shi*e
  22. no one else footlock here??? im sure theres plenty other tips that i havent included
