  1. im not sure how the layers compare, but stretch air seem to be the hardest wearing on the outside

  3. haha...again, its not something i do often....maybe when im starting up the tree after break, at which point the groundie has nothing to do till i start cutting anyway!
  4. and of course you can advertise right here too in the employment forum. chances are anyone reading these forums cares a little more about their profession than your average, and are probably just what you're looking for
  5. if you want to keep things real simple on a long ascent, just pull pull pull, and have a groundie pulling the slack for you as you go!

  8. bob, i climbed on metal for 8 years before i finally decided on giving a rope one a try for pruning work. i slowly started using it for more and more including takedowns. now my flipline stays in the truck and only comes out when i have a lot of spiking to do up bigger trees

  10. very true roger, i did look into having it done, unfortunately i cant find anyone in the uk to do these mods and would have to be sent to the US. its on my to do list!

  13. cheers mate....was one of my fave songs when i was younger and into all that kinda music....wasnt sure how it was going to be received when i added it to the vid, but it seemed to work!!
  14. matty, you dont use a ropeman as your primary adjustment on your lanyard do you?
  15. thats my attitude too bob...plus pulling the saw this way takes twice as long because of the 2-1 effect! but still....its a technique that some people may find useful!
  16. thats how i do it too...this way though the groundy can pull the saw back up the tree for you
