  1. ive always said the same thing regarding the ISA. i wish it was as popular over here as it is in the US
  2. i had a pair of the first run that there was a few problems with....id be interested to hear views also, as they were a very light boot!
  3. when setting rigging pulleys what knot do you prefer and why? when using a split tail/pulley combo i use a timber hitch, mainly because that was what i was originally taught. Why would you choose a cow hitch over a timber hitch? most of the time with lighter rigging i just use a whoopie sling girth hitched.
  4. nice pics...its extremely rare to find decent sized elms over here now. what variety is that?
  5. do you mean instead of a pulley....on a sling and used as a redirect?
  6. same jp, the price was right and it was something different to try. crap saw with the 3/8 chain on though. i did the same as you, dropped to .325 and a 9 tooth sprocket
  7. yep, a special thanks to the sponsors for making the comps possible!
  8. this thread is now re-opened for your comments. could winners contact me via pm with your mailing details!

  10. yep, just look at the amount available here! http://www.silkysaws.com/
  11. i pay 47p for mine....i can wear a new pair everyday at that money
  12. im not sure how that works on say a prussik loop where you clip a single loop through your krab, but it does apply on knots such as the v.t where each end of the rope terminates seperately on your krab. someone will verify this for me im sure. i use various cordage for my hitches. if you bought yours are a rock climbing shop you may find it a bit stiff? ive tried cord from such places in the past. also make sure the rope is polyester sheathed not nylon as most rock climbing rope is. it has a lower melting point and isnt suitable for hitch cord IMO
  13. im afraid i have yet to add that facility deva...great vids though, thanks for posting!
  14. what isnt these days?? im sure no ones gonna want to burn out a pricey pair of those gloves on their friction hitch!
  15. yep...if you're faced with all those potential bills and headaches then it kinda beats the whole point of being employed.....yet at the same time knowing you might have to pay for the dame should encourage you to be more consciensus...its a tough one and someones always going to end up the loser
  16. does this mean we can all free climb safely now?
