  1. value for money has to go to the new ranger i think. the new nissan looks damm nice though!
  2. speed is just a by product of efficiency and shouldnt be strived for.....but you are thinking on the right lines for sure.
  3. that swanddri stuff is great, just too hot to work in though for me
  4. telhol...i live 10 miles away from an arb college, and 2 miles away from one of the biggest utility arb contractors in the country. theres no shortage of climbers in my area...and im not skint
  5. i dont understand the reasoning there....if you have put the years in and have developed your skills so that you can complete obs quickly then you should be benfiting from that...not discounting jobs just because you're so quick. a job in theory should be worth the same money regardless who does it. if you get it done quicker and 2 twice the jobs of someone slower surely you want to earn twice as much? if not you're selling yourself way short.
  6. maybe where you're from that may be the case. personally i charge a good rate and do a good job. i wouldnt be interested in working for the sort of client looking for a cheap climber.....in any trade there will always be someone out there willing to do it cheaper...but it aint me. i think your attitude is a bit off on this one mate.
  7. about 120cm lenght of untied cord should make a 4-2 v.t are you using the cord i gave you? thats 8mm if so
  8. Please see below the list of prizes. To see who has donated what, please visit the individual threads.
  9. its a totally different saw....i was never much impressed with my 341 when i first had it, was running 18" bar, ended up leaving it at home most of the time.
  10. i dont see that as much of an issue....in any rigging job theres always going to be 2 people there, the climber can help mount it before he sets to work
  11. once you wear through that bar and chain i'd seriously consider dropping to .325 with a 9 tooth sprocket
  12. well ive heard some companies in our area are selling regylar hardwood loads for nearly that lee
  13. adam, are you running .325 pitch on it?
  14. where abouts are you? £14 a ton is way too cheap
  15. its similar to a design i had in mind for myself
  16. cant quite tell from the pic if its just the bark that has cracked or the wood too?
