  3. ok theres 101 tips...i'll start the ball rolling with what i consider to be probably the mst important 2. 1. make sure your chain is tensioned properly 2. find the bluntest tooth first, sharpen that tooth then proceed to sharpen every other tooth giving them all the same ammount of strokes with the file.
  4. Welcome to new site sponsor Atlas trailers http://www.atlastrailers.co.uk/index.asp
  5. Just to avoid any confusion, some of you may have noticed "raffle sponsor" beneath some usernames. This signifies that the user has purchased tickets, not that the user has sponsored a prize.
  6. hi rebecca, and thanks for joining. sorry to hear about your climber.....its fine to post your job here, looks like its also in the employment forum also. sounds a good position, hope you find someone worthy of it.
  7. i dont think heels make a huge ammount of difference for me personally. i used to climb with oregon greens which have next to no heel.....never had a problem with spikes slipping. as for general climbing i am normally on the balls of my feet so again, i dont see a heel being helpful there
  8. im confused too. if you're footlocking yuou would have your line going over a crotch and both lines coming back to the ground. you footlock both lines together.
  9. well now you're here dont forget to get your raffle tickets...only 7 days to go!
  10. thanks for confirming that dm and welcome to the site. why arent all dealers telling their customers about this then? do stihl mention it on their website anywhere? if theres an obvious fault with this carb you'd think they would have
  11. welcome to the site ed, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. how many years you been in the job?
  12. yep.....its called(someone correct me if im wrong)a pump piston bore kit? costs just a few quid and involves a bit of drilling i believe. anyway its a stihl part, a good stihl dealer should have it. both my stihls have been done now.
  13. never heard of talkswitch....who operates it?
  14. yes. theres more vids at their website oliver. http://www.sherbrooketreeservice.com/files big files
  15. bill, theres a permanent fix for that problem you know.
  16. im closing this thread...new one will open with a poll shortly
  17. welcome mark. experience is the key, although you need your certificates too. personally if i was you i'd get on the phone to all your local companies, maybe post in the employment section of the forum. get out there with someone decent, and learn the job.
