  1. ive never had a v't creep unless its a 3-1....i gave up using that apart from on my lanyard...good fun though. telhol, if you didnt have a v.t releasing better than any other hitch its because you didnt spend enough time tuning it....its a difficult hitch to perfect but well worth the time and effort
  2. 8mm line on my flipline. works nicer than any device of found yet...specially in the 3-1 configuration although you might prefer 4-1 or 3-2. id go 8mm line on 13mm rope also.
  3. i use 12" seem to get the job done ok
  4. i use a v.t on everything
  5. but thats the very reason you should be able to tackle anything(thats safe), if you start getting to jobs and back out, not only are you going to lose customers, you're also not going to get paid. if thats happening on a regular basis, financially it would be unsustainable
  6. you could always post that question in that new landscaping forum
  7. you should still have employers liability if you are using sub contractors.
  8. welcome to all todays new members...too many to list!!
  9. thanks for the heads up. i get these all the time...sometimes from banks i dont even bank with!
  10. theres some wear on there, nothing im worried about though, it looks worse that it is i think. i use a tree motion obviously......3meter edelrid lanyard with an art positioner adjuster, if im doing a lot of pole spiking i swap to a 3meter wirecore with a 3-1 v.t for my main line i use a 3-2 v.t with a micro pulley, or sometimes the hitch climber, depends what i feel like on the day. Art ropeguide. twin pulley with a sling on a krab for re-directs, and thats about it
  11. telhol.....i may be wrong here, but the fact that you say one of the things you like about the tree motion harness is the high back suggests that you are wearing the harness completely wrong. it sits very low compared to a normal harness. the waist buckle should probably be at, if not below your trouser belt line. the leg loops should be snugged up and adjusted tight at the back to keep the harness from riding up your back. i think if you had it set right you'd find climbing in it a whole lot more comfortable. I wear it all day everyday and its the most comfy harness ive owned yet.
  12. few pics from the jobsite today, neither of these trees were worked on. first is a beech with an interesting wound, second is a large black walnut.
  13. they're both good saws....i'd go with the 660 personally
  14. thats what i meant.....via the google site. i saw the thread re brit forum

  16. thats the least of my worries....a gay dating ad popped up once! i promptly contacted google to have that one blocked!
