  1. thats fair money, what any experienced climber should be earning deva
  2. matty, i tend to only bring out my wirecore for bigger trees these days. most of the time if im spiking i'll hold my lanyard so its not touching the tree and spike up rather than the flipping motion
  3. ian...do i recall hearing that bashlin released some carbons?
  4. so if i understand correctly, theres only one sized cluth for this device?
  5. fair do's mate..i was just kidding anyway. be good if you could stick a poster up at your college though mate
  6. congrats mate....you oughta treat yourself to some raffle tickets to celebrate
  7. carbon is plenty strong!
  8. i wonder what the titanium is like for sharpening then, and if it keeps an edge as well as steel. the geckos come with regular gaffs too.
  9. i wonder how easy they are to take off then...would think they would fall out easily, they are going to take some abuse there
  10. its a diamond disc cutter, for sharpening stump grinder teeth. theres 3 of them in the raffle
  11. i think you'll find the spikes are steel
  12. i have the carbons.....they are plenty sturdy. out of the pics you posted above i'd go with the geckos, wether aluminium or carbon....the pads are far more comfortable that the older style ones
  13. nice one carl, liked the 2 aspects on the piece you lowered.
  14. really. apologies then....never seen nor heard of them before. branch walking is the only reason i could see for those spikes but i have my doubts how good they would be for that. i guess it would be down to each climbers individual style but personally i branch walk on my toes not the arch of my foot....also im sure they wouldnt be a lot of cop for wearing with spikes. no doubt they underwent field testing though and were given the thumbs up by climbers somewhere. be interesting to try them out
  15. ok we got a bit off topic with all this, if we could go back to the original topic 18 stoner started im sure he'd appreciate it. thanks
  16. not chainsaw boots....where did you find them?
  17. value for money has to go to the new ranger i think. the new nissan looks damm nice though!
  18. speed is just a by product of efficiency and shouldnt be strived for.....but you are thinking on the right lines for sure.
