Need some moral support so I know I did the right thing.

Was invited to a full wedding with fiancé, but it was stump grinding to be done, so I ditched the wedding and fiancé went herself.

And I got dogs abuse from her over the phone, giving me the I'm so disappointed and that kind of talk.

I think she is out of order, and expect me to pick her up in a few hours from now.

Any dedicated workers out there been in a similar situation?

Just asked my girlfriend....it depends how close your fiance is to the happy couple. If they close friends then you in trouble. On the other hand, she says, if the work was for a super important cliant and couldn't wait, then that balances out a bit.

Let me get this right. You had agreed to go to a wedding and you binned it off to go stump grinding?

Why do you you work?

I work to provide the money required to enjoy my life with my family.

If you needed to work to pay for the essentials, food, shelter, etc, fair enough, but if you worked just because the work was there and you wanted extra cash IMO you have got your priorities all wrong and need to decide if you really are a family man or not.
