just an update on this, with regards to the skittles and balls case i'm going to let it go as i can resell the products i've made and as it was not over £750 it's apparently not worth it.

in fact i can sell the goods for more individually as i was giving a discount for multiple purchases.

in the meantime however i've had another customer do exactly the same thing.

5 years of trading and i've not had a single problem then all of a sudden two come along at once.

this case is worth following on however as its alot of money and although 50% was paid as a deposit i'm still owed nearly a grand and this week i've given them a couple of days to get back to me and then i'm sending them a polite letter detailing the situation before giving them 10 working days to pay up or i proceed with legal options.

i'm not ashamed to admit i hope they pay as the legal options bit scares me a little.

Hopefully they pay but don't be scared off the legal option if you have a written contract to produce the product with pre agreed payment terms then you're halfway safe. If you have that and sent a cast iron set of terms and conditions to be considered as agreed when they agreed the main outline contract and they did so then you're laughing. In my opinion that is. Look at every website which says tick to agree terms and conditions, have you read them in detail ever? I bet not but they still apply if you tick.
