Not what they used to be, pay the extra and go Makita.

Bought a couple of new angry grinders off ebay for £130 and within ten minutes one has packed up and the other is not smelling good. Contacted the seller and this is his response

Hello robert,

pjstools sent you a message about your request:

"Hello Buyer Firstly you will have to contact Bosch about having the item repaired or replaced. Their customer service helpline phone number is 0344 892 0115. Kind Regards Scott"

To reply now, see your request details.

If you have not agreed on a solution by 22 Aug, 2016, you can ask us to step in and help. If you and your seller need more time to sort things out, your request will stay open until 12 Sep, 2016.

I replied and reminded him that I purchased them from him and that if he does not sort it I will send them both back and demand a refund. What a twonk .

Got looking at them and they are made in China

Did they not have any calm ones or did you get them to irritate them a bit first?

Mick Dundee calls them angry grinders Pete so its kind of stuck. :)

Interesting. My Bosch 110v grinders are holding up Ok. I think they're the same as that. I've broken 2 little Makitas in the same time.

Seems like an issue with quality control from both brands.

This is what my "angry" grinder did to me last week, fortunately I changed the angle grinder kiss to my leg into a happy scar with the addition of 3 bits of electrical tape.

Might make this my avatar:001_smile:

I was bought a Bosch 115mm years ago and although we have hammered it, the thing has been bullet proof, however had it not been bought for me I would never have bought another Bosch after they refused to replace a brand new industrial circular saw that burnt out on the second day we had it.

Otherwise Makita and Hitachi for me.

I would've had that stitched or stapled up at least Roy's. Yeah it doesn't hurt or annoy but scar tissue in bulk is a nuisance.

I have older everlasting Bosch grinders and I'd noticed recently on someone else's made in China. It seems the transfer the tooling over etc. Then rush it through making them and reducing costs in component sourcing, I used to go for Bosch, unlikely now.n

I did go to to A&E but they said they couldn't stitch missing chunks.
