Spend September quoting like mad and line stuff up and try and got all your hedge cutting out of the way. Then try and enjoy the early finishes but actually suffer the realisation that the one days work you quoted in September is actually two because the suns arrived late and buggered off early!

I missed that boat this year, made my first log reindeers for a few friends and the local play group, could have sold a hundred but wasn't prepared, will be ready next year though! Got a few good sized landscaping jobs starting after Christmas, some nice lengths of oak and yew to mill when I get my 070 and mill built, and starting to gather up and process wood for next year as I'm going to try and branch out into the firewood industry. Oh and if there is any spare time and money i'll be converting my T4 panel van into a day van, stripping and repainting the engine and frame on my FZR600, building my L200 arbtruck, and hydraulic tow behind log splitter.........

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
