The reality is that some ethnic groups are more likely to be involved in stabbings etc..... The police should concentrate their limited resources on catching criminals.... When it comes to "stop and search" that means stopping black male youths. 

 

Or maybe the police should "stop and search" some white female pensioners as well? After all the police wouldn't like to be seen as sexist/ ageist/ racists...

 

About 99% of the prison population are male. Maybe that's because the justice system is sexist? Or maybe it's because men just commit more crime?

More made up figure 80% of the uk prison population are male.

 

The fact remains that the police had to have good reason to stop and search someone. Can you tell me what reason they would have for pulling one of their own over 20 times?

Saying "99%" is an expression of speech.... Looking at Wikipedia 95% of the prison population is male.... I was closer than your 80%.....

So someone phoned a radio show and said he'd been stopped 20 plus times and he's a cop? It hardly the best source of evidence.... Do you believe every random caller to radio stations?

 

Even if this story is true maybe he dresses as a yardie and act like a complete master baker?

 

Honestly, what do you want the police to do? Do you want them to be politically correct and "stop and search" old pensioners for knifes or do you want them to go after the demographics that carry knifes?

Because, I presume statistically, many young black men carry knives or other weapons? No-one, one would hope, wants to stereotype people by their colour, sex or age but if a percentage of the population typically do something, what do you do?

 

If you ride fast bikes in areas or roads where there is a high incidence of speeding motorcycles, is it unreasonable to get more police interest and checks than the old dodderer in his metro? Personally, I don't think so and never felt that I had cause for complaint for being frequently stopped.
