No, of course everyone's wages shouldn't go up 33%. The country would be buggered if that was the case.

Do you think it's right that a manager that doesn't know the job gets paid more than the lads out on the tools?

It's going on in big business all over the country, if you choose not to see it, that's fine.

Don't complain when it starts hitting your pocket mind.

In this post. As you were "on the tools"

I assumed that the manager was paid more since you said "do you think that a manager that doesn't know the job gets paid more than the lads on the tools"

Am I going mad or did eggs not give a prime example of a "good education" getting it wrong?

That should probably say "expensive education", two very different things I suppose.

Yes, I'll doth my cap, I have no problem throwing my hands in when I've got it wrong.

I'll try to explain, what I meant was basic pay, managers do get paid more. I earned more money because I did stand-by, call-outs.

Fair enough. Just explain what this manager got wrong with that job in simple words for me as I'm confused what the mistake was not that they made one!

The manager gave the go ahead for lads that were deep in a hole to cut into a large main that was full sewage, if they had cut into it, it would have flooded the hole before they could get out.

That would have been stupid. Presumably someone on site thought better!

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying management is always right, I had lots of arguments with them when I was employed!

I do think that someone has to be in charge though. Including corybn if that had been the choice the country made, not that I would of been happy about it not that I'm happy now!

I voted for an independent as I was peed

Of with the big parties
