There does seem to be a lack of flying insects about, I thought it was because of the crappy year of rain we've had.

Depressing. My lad has hardly ever seen a butterfly.

Lets just hope Labour can honour their promise on this. I don't see why we need all that sugar beet anyway.

Israel's Mossad spy agency planted explosives inside 5,000 pagers imported by Lebanese group...

That’s serious planning and a monstrous failing of security at the same time. I’d not want to be the procurement guy right now.

Yeah, someone hasn't been doing their due diligence. I suppose Hezbollah are going to be reviewing their hiring and firing (squad) procedures.

The more of this story that comes to light, some serious thought put into this. Not sure how pagers work exactly but if these have been in circulation for a while, are they able to be tracked - 2000+ pagers giving location details and movements, plus the paranoia of not using them again.

Surely we’d be as well off just sending Russia a memo reminding them to attack us within the next 4-5 years before we’re ready for them?

Tub thumping Steve (hopefully)

Sending a signal to Russia that Western/central Europe is prepared (or preparing) for the scenario.

Bearing in mind the difficulties the Russians are having subduing Ukraine, it’s unlikely they’d move any further west at the moment.

Tory MP Owen Paterson has failed to declare his interest as a paid lobbyist for two private sector companies, for which he was paid £110,000 a year.

One of the companies, Randox, has been able to secure Covid-19 contracts worth roughly half a billion pounds, many awarded without tender and despite the company not having enough equipment.

In conclusion, no homo sapiens has ever been fit to govern - we're not better off with anarchy, but don't expect too much. Nature isn't perfect - just as the body can be riddled with cancer, human thoughts and ideas are often diseased too.
