Making the news today, the uncomfortable truth.

 

 

 

 

 

Nothing at all to disagree with there!

 

It's interesting that the discussion of internment, despite the howls of protest, is, inevitably, becoming a

mainstream topic of discussion at many levels of current debate post the Manx Arena atrocity.

 

I'd add my voice to the derision and opposition to this wholly inappropriate measure to regain some element of decency and safety to society.

 

It IS wholly inappropriate and disproportionately expensive to seek to prevent the tiny % of a society from inflicting such inhuman behaviour upon the absolute majority of decent, law abiding citizens - those that engage with the social contract of sheltering under the (general) umbrella of safety and security provided by "the system", and in return uphold their part of the bargain by behaving in a decent manner.

 

The immense cost of that internment, for the minuscule minority, directly deprives the elderly of social care, the young of education, the disabled of financial support, etc, etc, etc...

 

Internment is wholly inappropriate and disproportionately expensive. Not forgetting, grouping these people together isn't that smart either.

 

Hopefully there'll be a 💡 moment when our politicians find their 🏈s and realise there is a cheaper, more effective, permanent fix.

Agreed. Expulsion and exile is the way to go - and better screening for new arrivals.

So you're saying leave the extremists to it because the lives they take isn't worth the money to lock them up and if we did schools should shut and pensioners would be without pensions? Is this a joke?
