Taking data from patients in England was so unpopular in 2014 it was shelved. Now it’s happening without the scrutiny...

Mark I’m afraid to say so much has been done under the cover of covid and saving us  from the dreaded virus with the support of all the parties, in fact Labour have often wanted more draconian actions so I think trying to make political capital from any of this is pointless,  the compliance to some of these actions has been nearly 100% those whom have questioned it have been vilified bud as well you know even on here, Easy to give power very hard to get it back I think we will see going forward.

APPLE.NEWS

‘The data is pointing this week in a more negative direction than it was last week’ says top epidemiologist

The writing is on the wall it seems especially now that Ferguson is back in the limelight, if it’s not the Indian it will be the Nepalese variant if not then it’s virtually guaranteed to be something else. Soon summer will be over and the autumn/winter flu season will be here 🤷‍♂️ You don’t have to have too vivid an imagination to see where this is going. I don’t think the actions of the odd non mask wearing individual is the cause neither before the usual suspects start to comment.

Sorry, can’t be arsed reading back, but I find it hard to believe Andy is upset by comments on here, Christ he’s had me me do down as a mad, thick alky (I’m not saying he’s wrong) but, on an Internet forum you can say just about anything surely without comebacks, it’s a load of shite and nobody cares, do they? It’s surely a good place to say whatever you like to likeminded people without upsetting people you genuinely care for.

It’s the internet, mostly nonsense on forums. Although they are useful and good fun at times.

so are you saying we shouldn't be civil to one another?

Well, a bit of civility is always preferable I suppose. I was just suggesting that the internet and forums seem to attract keyboard warriors, funny that eh?
You can switch off, walk away, ignore etc. If you’re a bit sensitive/touchy or just don’t like being abused then getting involved in forum spats is probably not a great choice, but it is a personal choice.

Channeling my inner hebridean alky, I'd say it may help to try to work out the motivations behind the Tory's presentation of choice, as in, "That's a choice young bride you've got there, Mr Wacker-a-mole".

In this case, an organisation has your data. You think that should be treated confidentially as its "yours". But is it and what's to say it will be whether you want it or not?

So, we know the NHS has our health records. You can opt out and if you're really bothered, you can really opt out. But who are you doing that with? Yep! The NHS! The vast quangoed multi-entrusted quasi-super-corporation who has your records anyway! If only there was someone to tell us this was fake news and a non-choice!

Have to say that has gone straight over my head 🤔
