I gave you a sad smilie, cos that is how I feel when tricked into looking at yon misbeguided  lassie

Oddly thou' and no one can dispute -  it couldn't have worked better in her favour, which was my point. Not that I find the horrendous situation cheering. K

I guess, without taking sides, the elephant in the room for me is Germany. Similar populations and demographics but much, much lower death toll.

I have yet to hear a satisfactory explanation for that.

They really are an exception to the rule. We can surely look to emulate their response next time around. I think the answer lies in each represented countries Scientific Advisors. Germany's where right, the British Scientists where initially wrong.

Interestingly their economy is set to tank significantly more than ours will. This will cost a lot of lives in the long run.

Nope, I just look at how S. Korea have handled it. I think they had 1 new case yesterday. I can't be arsed pulling up graphs or charts, but the data is there.

The exception proves the rule. Surely you know that?

The economy thing is just speculation/prediction. Deaths are real statistics.

“The exception to the rule” just words, meaning nothing.

Germany was already in a recession, its was going to only get deeper with the UK leaving the EU, with Covid its gonna push Germany over the Cliff. With Germany falling off the Cliff deaths directly linked to this will surely follow. And I agree with you, Deaths are the real statistic but its way to early to say the tally has been counted. Only after all the data has been extrapolated, at a time in the future when we can draw a line under Covid -19 can we fully corrolate and confirm real statistics. : )
