Carbon Capture is a bag o' wank really. It's just something seized upon by lazy, ill-informed politicians to try to convince the masses that they're doing something proactive. They're not. It'll never even get close to fixing the problem, but instead just waste a load of money and effort.

I'd tend to agree with that, a cheap supermarket sticking plaster to try to fix a problem (falls off after 5 minutes), far better not to create the problem in the first place.

I will pick you up on something there: 'Lazy, ill-informed politicians' - is there another type of politician?

Nah, not this lot, not so much. It'll be making the big oil and gas companies a fat wad though that's for sure.

How dare you? Yeah, most are obviously of that ilk. Although I do believe that there are a few on the sidelines who are motived and well informed. The problem is that they don't get anywhere in this foolhardy new world of personality politics.
