It was tongue in cheek, but cheers. I've made a couple of trips to the tip, (feel sorry for folk who do not have a vehicle), but to be honest it's not too bad in our area, someone is still emptying the bins sporadically.

Amey had a contract with Sheffield council. Amey could survey trees, specify work AND do the work. i.e. They had a blank cheque. Cut down loads of perfectly good trees. Locals furious. Big fuss. Then they moved onto Birmingham.

Ah yes, that malarkey, I remember that. The scandalous Sheffield tree massacre. I've not observed anything similar occuring in Birmingham thankfully.

There were problems with funding for street-tree surveys in Brum, I don't know if that has been resolved or not.
