Well hopefully this is a bit of good news!

A furious row erupted at the weekend after French authorities were accused of standing by as people smugglers acted like a ‘taxi’ service

 

From what I can see/read and understand the French could only stop the boats from leaving shore by giving them a good stabbing which makes me wonder how on Earth that is costing us half a billion squid. So, the smugglers just leave the boats running off shore and the immigrants just wade out to them while getting a wave and a thumbs up from the French police.
