What about Israel, what gave us the right to take that land of the people who had lived there for generations and give it to those who claimed their ancestors lived there first, but had not lived there for generations?

Give? Have you not heard of Lehi? An american backed terrorist group.

You're a complete anachronism mate.

Have you ever heard of the ancient Chinese, Egyptian, South American, Middle Eastern, even Zimbabwean cultures? Most of them were highly civilised well before the "Great" British Empire, we were still grovelling around in the mud when they had their heydays.

You forgot the Greeks and the Romans, what did the Romans  ever do for us?

A simple measure of a culture is how its people are treated. If there is no clean running water and a proper sewage system, not just discharge into the nearest river, then its a shithole. And there really isn't any excuse for the local inhabitants its now 2021 not 1721. If the English were in charge that would have been sorted millennia ago along with an education system, set of laws, public infrastructure etc.

For the race baters, its nothing to do with skin colour and all to do with culture.

The failed cultures, and they are predominantly in Muslim countries maybe that's a coincidence, should be pointed out by mainstream media BBC etc so they can be forced to change.

Monstrously un PC but valid points nonetheless , thankfully within this derided state we still have free speech “ just “

Oh yeah. The Romans didn't do much for us did they? Apart from giving us rabbits.

Sweet chestnut.

Baths.

Sewerage systems.

Chariots.

Literary concepts.

Legal precepts.

Sculpture.

Marcus Aurelius.

Under floor heating.

Iraq is not called the Cradle of Civilization for nothing. We would have struggled to subjugate a third of the world without some of the important things invented there.

Iraq has an incredibly rich and unique history. Istanbul, Rome, Paris, New York, Tokyo—centers of culture rise and fall, but there’s only one Cradle of Civilization, and that’s what we today call Iraq. A long…
