Much as I enjoy seeing Corbyn make a mug of himself, like attending a Jewdas dinner, genuinely Mark, don't go down on a sinking ship....

A lot of the powers that be want to keep Russia as the evil enemy. I didn't and still don't buy any of it. Way too fast a conclusion to have come to by our government. 

 

If Putin wanted someone dead in the UK why the hell use a sophisticated chemical agent that could potentially be tied to Russian manufacture? Surely cyanide solution fired from a damn water pistol onto the clothing anywhere on the body that contacts the skin would suffice.. or any number of other untraceable efforts.

Putin is the one who wants the west attacking Russia, it allows he to play the hard man and foster popularity at home. He had no interest in killing these people other than to play his political game. Obviously the means of murder had to point directly to Russia.

If playing the hard man does indeed foster popularity at home.. whatever that even means, does asking for a further and more thorough investigation into the matter present him more guilty to those who he wants to impress?

I guess it's possible and perhaps ideal to be known to be guilty by those you want to know, whilst all the while proclaim your innocence. 

 

Still, it stinks. Our government want the world to know this business and their "position" on it. If they didn't want us to know, we wouldn't and frankly shouldn't.

May was HS when Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned, May did nothing, his widow was had to fight to get it investigated. May was humiliated by the findings of the investigation. There is no way she was going to let this one slip away quietly.
