I threw my TV out about 15 years ago (gave it away actually)
Few years ago the inspector came around.
As he drove up the lane he was escorted by a barn owl flying either side of him. He got to ours, we chatted outside about the wonders of the world, the virtues of country life etc.
Then he left!
"Don't you want to look inside?"
"Nah Mate, with this on y'r doorstep there's no way you have a TV in the house!"

My Spanish family who live in beautiful historic rural Galicia had that sentiment. No locks on front doors etc. Some front door built without a locking system.

 

Now since Merkel's immigration policy they have to have locks on everything. They had faith in their fellow man. What changed do you reckon?

I can't make my mind up wether Carillion going in to liquidation is because of Brexit or if it's the BBC's fault.
