When dialogue fails, what would you do next?

Thers nothin to be done, apart from hopin your arguments are better, and more people side with you..

I realize its tempting to want to go for direct action but you have to understand that your opponent then has the same option..

an eye for eye and soon the whole world will go blind..

PFI has been described as an effective way of removing debt from the balance sheet. (Without removing the debt)

Should suit the Labour Party down to the ground.

You do realize it was the Tory scum under John Major who introduced it don't you Timon?...

No one threatened anyone. I do think that it's acceptable to hit people with opposing views.  For example, If someone thought it was a good idea to shag my wife, I'd be pretty keen to violenty oppose that.

You would be happy to "thump" someone for simply "thinking" it, rather than actually doing it?

Yes but Tony and Gordon were the ones who did it wholesale.

Thinking it is one thing, voicing it or doing it  is a little bit different.

Only because labour were in power at the time, don't imagine if the Tories stayed in they'd of done any different.. lets not forget, but for John Major opening pandors box the labour party would have had to borrow or tax to build new schools or hospitals at the time..

Listened to his conference speech and his later interview on LBC. I thought he made Dianne Abbot sound capable!

Nationalisation - Seemed like he was making it up as he went along and any question that was too hard, like how are you going to pay the shareholders or on PFIs (predominantly introduced under Blair / Brown coincidentally!) how are you going to ever attract any future investors if they can’t trust you, or his apparent outrage at the level of household debt - whilst planning to borrow to fund his ludicrous give-away schemes...

A complete and utter head-the-ball.

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.

listening to this on the radio driving up to Stirling this evening, it sounded like he was frothing at the mouth and losing the plot..

The presenter said he was unsure whether the intention was to bail out of existing contracts or just not enter anymore. If it bail out, it can't  save money because it's a contract and payments are inflation linked over the term of the contract.
