Recommend me... a fullsize tractor

Hello, I am looking at the option of getting a fullsize tractor. Currently have an AGT 835 (mainly used for flail work, winching & skidding). Id like something fullsize with a front loader to : run a processor off, shift logs on pallets forks round yard/general loading, run a decent size topper, pull a 5/6 ton dump trailer. I do not expect to do more than 400 hours a year. 80-110 bhp, 4wd, agri tread, simple 'stockman' type tractor is what I am considering but be interested to hear any recommendations. Budget is around £10k plus VAT.

I did see Jons (mendip) MS399 for sale a while back and that is the kind of thing i think would be ideal.

I use an mf390 (pretty much identical to 399) for forwarding, winching, swiping in woods with a bushhog and topping headlands. It's not much over 70hp but does it all with ease. Quite narrow with good ground clearance, reliable simple n (generally) easy to repair. You can pick a good un up for about 10k. I liked the look of mendips one with hydraulic winch on the front and I seem to recall someone else on here recently picked up a right nice 390 with a front loader within your budget. Good luck

Valmet/valtra 6400

Massey 390

We use a 91 john Deere 2650 4wd on the processor and have a loader and does well as a yard tractor ,very basic easy to work on about 80hp- I think ,although lacks sufficient hydraulic flow for the kindlet machine we had ,that had to go on the 6400 and the valmet is a much nicer tractor to drive on the road.

It can be a mare but it can also work out well. I just did one one my wife's tractor, I found a loader fitted to the same on eBay, the sellers was happy to let me have the loader, brackets and spools for a very fair price, 1/2 day to fit and there you go.
