Are there filters or bits to grease under that plate. If so get the plasma out and cut a few holes out so you can work on them without having to drop the whole plate.

If your going to be doing a lot of brash mat driving i'd put a bit of plate over that oil filter too.

Yes there are a few bits under there, but there are flush fitting removable Windows where needed and it's a doddle to get to everything. Been giving it a good test on a steep but of chestnut coppice for the last few weeks where you really don't have many line choice options, and it's holding up very well!

The massy and botex combo out in the woods earning a crust for a few days, we recon about 300ton of mostly sycamore thinnings to extract, 4m stuff is lovely but the 2.5 m stuff we cut early on in the job has been a pain today as hard to get two bays on, going to need some heat on the bolts to help loosen them so I can shove the back bunch out a bit to give a little more room, Mondays problem now!

That's a smart rig John :thumbup1:

Thanks chris, very pleased with it, got it lengthened out a bit so can now get two lots of 2.5 m on on the flatter ground, just got to remember to put the legs down now as spent so long on roofmounts I might have forgotten a time or two. 😜

Tidy machine in on same site putting up the new poles last week, hardly left a mark even on the wettest bit of the woods.
