Is it possible to fit a swivel to the Akimbo?

Doesn't look to be but why would you need to on SRT? If you wanted to you could fit one to your bridge.

Sunday funday figuring out a setting for 11mm sterling htp :001_smile:

The akimbo seems to be getting better the more it gets used. Still some room for improvement I think.:001_rolleyes: but overall it's a nice bit of kit:thumbup1:

Where does it need improvement Ben?

I went back on mine after lunch on a beech I'm dismantling over the next day or so... it's growing on me , initially I was not sure about the self tending there seems more drag like climbing a well tied short hitch and I'm used too a very long vt with minimal wraps that needs dressing but slack falls through, but in the same token drag can be good at times...plenty of limb walking and never once felt uncomfortable, there is no sit back what so ever but it can be hard to get the initial movement for descent but that could be more my technique but I was thinking of modding my top cam with a beak like a spider jack if I can't get used to it as it's killing my bad hand tendons gripping it too hard.

It doesn't self tend well enough for my taste. I'm also getting a lot of rope drag when I limbwalk if the tail is deflected rather than directly below me. The worse the deflection the worse the drag. I've asked the inventor Jaime to send me some weaker springs for the top cam. I'm hoping this will help with both issues.

Ben, the condition you describe is often caused when the bottom roller is set too close to the cam. Try opening it up one hole.

I've had the same thing using orange cougar. I'm sure mines on the most open setting on the bottom.

I thought it might be the opposite, to tighten the bottom one to take pressure off the top one. I haven't really had enough time on it yet to find the best combination of what I've got.

It's still good fun trying though.

When limb walking with the BDB its really nice to have the device rotated so that it's a good ergonomic position for your hand.

Yes a swivel can be put on harness bridge but it adds 'links' to the system which I don't approve of.

Just curious though which is why I asked.

Thanks Joe.
