I've just been to the local shop, the young woman in front of me was on the phone, she never acknowledged the lady who was serving her. Is it just me or are some people just pig ignorant?

Had the opposite enough times where, and I'm not racist, some of the shop workers/petrol station workers jabber away on the phone in another language and barely acknowledge you. I find that really unprofessional

I absolutely hate that. Yes it is very ignorant, but then thats what most of the population are these days. If I am in a big queue I will answer the phone but finish the conversation as I am about to be served and chat with the assistant serving me.

Absolutely no manners these days . Something I've noticed to about here is when you get on public transport the kids all get a seat and the adults stand !! When I grew up it was automatic to stand up and offer it to an adult ..if I didn't I can assure you I did the next time !!

When technology and perceived need is more important than common manors or consideration the results speak for them selfs. Just wait a while longer for a collapse of the Internet. These same people will have a reality check that most will not be able to comprehend or cope with

Loads of people don't have manners, I think someone said the same back in the olden Greek times. Today mobile phones, yesterday it was ipods, walkmans, ghetto blasters, etc. Yes they are ignorant gits no matter what.

Plus 1 from me on that, if it happens on a shop I reward the discourtesy by waking out and spending my cash elsewhere

I saw a note in a butty shop in Liverpool, stating that they would not serve anyone using a mobile phone:thumbup1:

I also hate shop assistants who are using their phones:thumbdown:
